Still wondering why the House is being so slow about getting its bills updated to Public Acts on the ilga.gov website. It’s been that way for over 2 months. The legislative support agencies are not the problem, the Senate bills are being updated timely.

“Does anyone know where the butter used in the butter cow comes from…donation, purchase?”
Not sure of the original source, but from what I understand, it is recycled from year-to-year.
The cow isn’t solid butter, it composed of metal mesh “fence like” material with the butter spread on. At least that is what I know from past years.
I’m trying to find out more about Stephen C Lee and his involvement in the indictment. But all I know is he is from Illinois and google gives me too many false positives as the name is too common. Oh well, I know we’ll hear more soon.
There is also a Chicago connection with Trevian Kutti (Kanye and R. Kelly publicist). Both Kutti and Lee were alleged to be involved in the disturbing harassment and intimidation of election worker Ruby Freeman.
Reading about Dr. Arwaty’s termination as Chicago Director of Public Health. I don’t know - but I’m thinking she might have submitted her resignation and moved on already. A newly elected Mayor has the right to pick their own cabinet…and isn’t that typically expected? Not sure how the termination matches w how this is done elsewhere, but I’m thinking she should have read the writing on the wall, and moved on. I’m pretty sure the mayor indicated his desire for new leadership there months ago. Police Supt. Brown was out of there, moved back to Texas, as soon as it became clear Mayor Lightfoot would not continue as mayor.

Lots of rain out there yesterday. Hopefully there wasn’t the level of flooding in homes that there was last month.

I heard last night that all teams from the Midwest Region of the United States are being removed from the MLB. Could be a rumor.

Last night’s October weather (Springfield) was absolutely lovely. Soaked it in while drinking wine on a friend’s back porch.

Per WaPo, Lee is repped by 2022 Republican AG candidate David Shestokas.
He repped him in fighting a subpoena to try to force him to testify before a grand jury.

She’s extremely popular with the news media there, so you’ll likely see a lot more stories.

Had a heck of a time finding elephant ears on the grounds yesterday. (No, I can’t settle for a funnel cake. Bleh, how can you even.)
Across from the grandstand, Schneider’s, small white trailer. Finally found it, and it was outstanding.
In general, we paid a lot for food this year.
