Maybe it’s for the best given how dysfunctional the Bears are now but I am not a fan of their game broadcasts moving from WBBM to ESPN 1000 this year. Their AM signal is terrible in Central IL so I have to look up whatever their affiliate is whereas WBBM, The Score, WLS, WGN all come through fine where I am at.
Also I think the Illinois-Purdue game is streaming on Peacock next week. Thanks for nothing, Comcast, when the only reason we’ve kept basic cable is access to live sports.
Real rain this morning in BloNo. For me it is a welcome sight because we need the rain. It probably disappoints the farmers who are gearing up for harvest but it is early times for combining.
Tribune with the scary editorial about transaction tax and CBOE relocating. Fails to mention how all other legislative leaders have effectively neutered it. This is why I keep questioning my subscription.
I’m fine, appreciate your concern, truly. A case can be made that many likely don’t miss me too.
Right now, there are a lotta ins, a lotta outs, a lotta what-have-yous goin’ on for me. And, uh, a lotta strands to keep in my head, man. Lotta strands in my orbit.
Lots of truth in that, but physically I’m really great, and hoping things can settle.
It’s always my hope that in September and October that I have to choose between an interesting Sox game and an interesting Bears game. No problem this year….
Hey Friendly Bob, you can always opt for rejoicing in the demise of the Cubs, who seem bound and determined to snatch early October tee times from the jaws of a potentially fun postseason run. I know plenty of other Sox fans who have chosen what’s behind Door No. 3 this September
Friendly Bob, My bride switched to watching college volleyball on the ESPN channels. The Fighting Illini are 5-6, 0-1 in conference. At least a bit better than “The Beloved”. Hey, it’s an option…

Some interesting news in the Mad. Co. Whistleblower case. Entire judicial circuit was disqualified from hearing the case so it got moved to Sangamon. Just reading the complaint, its amazing what a FOIA can set off.
so much sad suburban crime news. Romeoville, Streamwood, Glenview. Oh wait, not in Chicago? yep suburbs. murders. and crossing into Oklahoma with the Romeoville/Streamwood case (I count that because it appears he killed her.) also when is the story going to really focus on Mr. Security firm guy with lots of guns wipes out a husband and wife, their two small kids and three dogs. lots of guns.

Is OW okay? Haven’t seen him around here lately. Hopefully he’s just on vacation or something.
