Bailey back to his election-denying ways
Friday, Sep 22, 2023 - Posted by Rich Miller
* Darren Bailey on Nov. 10, 2020…
All this fraudulent activity is absolutely disgusting. It’s wrong, it’s—in my opinion—almost the highest form of treason in our country, so we pray that that will be dealt with.
Bloomberg…
After the election, Bailey said on social media that he stood with Trump and that he found the idea that he should concede “appalling.”
* After Bailey won the Republican gubernatorial primary with Trump’s help, he moved away from the former POTUS. From an October, 2022 Sun-Times editorial…
Here in Illinois, Republican gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey said there is no doubt Biden won the election fair and square.
* Now that he’s running for Congress…
It was an honor to sign this hat, especially when you hear the story.
It will be a greater honor to serve with President Trump representing Illinois!
Thank you Paul Fomerly Phil Shifly

–he found the idea that he should concede “appalling.”–
‘Appalling’ is too pedestrian.
I long for the days when politicians would ‘take umbrage’ with things.
- Oswego Willy - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 10:41 am:
“Do you acknowledge Biden won the election?”
“Do you recognize that January 6th was an insurrection?”
Both need to be “Yes”, otherwise that candidate/office holder/appointed official is a person, at minimum, excusing treason, and at least a person undermining our democracy.
Bost will pivot, as he seems to do now, towards embracing Trump instead of calling out “traitors” instead of being a “patriot” as President Grant sorted out his own polarizing foes who worked against the United States.
Bailey wants to be rewarded for embracing a “lil sedition”
- Grandson of Man - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 10:44 am:
So dangerous. Election deniers know exactly what they’re doing. They’ve sold out the greatest political endeavor, American democracy, for the love of power. And for what, MAGA election losses? There is no one in the GOP to stop this, much less the ILGOP.
One can only hope that in the end election deniers wreck themselves politically.
- Flyin'Elvis'-Utah Chapter - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 10:45 am:
…and with that he just secured the majority vote south of I 64.
- JS Mill - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 10:50 am:
He should have a “Waffle House” sign in his front yard for all the waffling and flip flopping he does.
Also- @Fying’Elvis’-Utah Chapter +1
- The Truth - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 10:51 am:
All Bost has to do is call him out for his flip-flopping and be 10% less crazy than Bailey, and he’ll win easily.
- cermak_rd - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 10:51 am:
The thing about Bailey is he can’t even do normal electoral posturing without coming off as craven and incompetent. There are ways to thread that needle without making it obvious that it’s all about politics with no actual belief behind it.
- Techie - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 10:51 am:
Further evidence that Bailey has no integrity.
- Rudy’s teeth - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 10:52 am:
Bailey is a sycophant. He lavishes praise on a multi-indicted former president in order to gain another elected office.
Bailey was not qualified to run for governor in Illinois as he lacked experience and perspective. The same deficits apply to his current race for another office.
Time to sit on the porch, Darren.
- Rich Miller - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 10:53 am:
===call him out for his flip-flopping===
Maybe, but I dunno. Voters tend to like it when candidates flip their way.
There’s an old saying that goes politicians who flip-flop in my direction are statesmen.
- Rich Miller - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 10:55 am:
===and be 10% less crazy===
Change “less” to “more” and that may be a GOP primary winner. /s (Kinda)

The Truth-
What you don’t know about this district is everything.
- Huh? - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 10:58 am:
beetle licked his finger and stuck it in the air to see which way the wind was blowing. What a fool.
I boggles my mind how educated people can make the cognitive leap that there was fraud that was limited to the presidential election. The sheer number of people needed to pull off such a scheme is massive. Given that people can’t keep a secret anymore, and post everything on the internet, the plot would have been blown long before election day.

“beetle licked his finger and stuck it in the air to see which way the wind was blowing. What a fool.”
I despise Bailey and his fellow travelers but the true fools are the imbeciles who support him. He is no different than those who start pyramid schemes, a grifter who just needs a reasonable number of idiots in order to turn a handsome profit.

The signatures on the hat I would classify as dumb, dumber, and dumberer. You pick who is who.

Sir Thomas More: Why Richard, it profits a man nothing to give his soul for the whole world… but for Wales?
Insert “Darren” for “Richard” and “Southern Illinois” for “Wales.”
- Jerry - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 11:14 am:
According to some Republicans those were just tourists on January 6th.
It wasn’t an insurrection or sedition.
- Oswego Willy - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 11:18 am:
The only “for certain” thing I know about The Apostle Darren Bailey is that he will continue to leverage the rubes as long as he can, for whatever means he can, even if it means flip flopping and embracing an eroding of our democracy.
Also, there is a need for a collar county “Waffle House” and while the Collinsville Waffle House should be embraced, Illinois will not be “free” until Waffle House is found in Chicagoland.
If Bailey agrees to that…

- Oswego Willy - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 11:37 am:
This alone… ugh.
===almost the highest form of treason===
You can’t be a lil treasonous or a lil seditious.
This idea where “highest” is in a calculated wordsmithing, something called “high treason” versus the actual measure of treasonous acts… why I’m on this is The Apostle seemingly wants a needle threaded to what is a “measure of treason”?
Bailey’s barely smart enough to understand that you never stop grifting…

====== Waffle House ======
There is a Huddle House north of Springfield, in Williamsville. So they are moving north, along with the armadillo.

“There is only one… Waffle House. Accept no substitute”
…
Sorry, Rich.
To the post,
What it will be interested in watching in the coming weeks and months is of Bailey gets Trump to campaign for him here, and how can that be possible by the mere complexity of scheduling for the “defendant-candidate”.
“Trump wanted to be here today but he was required to appear in front of…”
So, will there be a radio ad in the end of all this? We’ll see I suppose.
- Candy Dogood - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 11:55 am:
Sedition is an easy platform to run on. It doesn’t actually require any good ideas or effort. Darren won’t need his thinking cap and sources suggest he hasn’t been able to find his since the 3rd grade.
- Candy Dogood - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 11:57 am:
===Huddle House ===
Every visit to Huddle House has left me sad for existence. Is this not the case everywhere?
- Joe Bidenopolous - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 12:11 pm:
Huddle House is to Waffle House as an overflowing porta potty is to a pristine, immaculate, marble-lined restroom.
To the post: after all the crap he’s pulled himself, I’m really gonna have a chuckle if Bost loses.
- JS Mill - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 12:30 pm:
=craven and incompetent=
Perfect description of Bailey. Perfect.
=Illinois will not be “free” until Waffle House is found in Chicagoland.=
=“There is only one… Waffle House. Accept no substitute”=
In his name I say Huzzah, I am a witness to his grace. In other words…ditto.
- Oswego Willy - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 12:37 pm:
===Huddle House is to Waffle House===
It’s actually not a contest, Waffle House is legendary, Huddle House wants to be compared *to* Waffle House.
It’s like comparing Ed Debevic’s (Huddle House) to an actual diner experience.
It’s like comparing Bailey to Bost in theatrics, Bailey, as Huddle House, is the perfect, pristine, utter phony zealot that people fooled think Bailey is the real deal.
Bost *is* the standard Bailey would want to be but lacks truth to the mission, and Waffle House’s mission being that diner even used to measure hurricane strength (Waffle House Index) to its… staying power.
When Bailey (and Huddle House) get to be an index or a measure… lemme know.
#WaffleHouseForever

Bailey using words like “honor” and “serve” is a hoot. The man has no honor and only serves himself.

(Raises my “Waffle House” coffee mug to - JS Mill -, humbly)
Is it me or three people signed a hat. All three lost.
Is it a “Loser Lid”
- Rudy’s teeth - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 1:00 pm:
Darren Bailey is a serial candidate. In 2018, Bailey ran for the Illinois House. In July of 2019, he ran for the Illinois Senate. Then, in February of 2022, he became a candidate for governor. Again in 2023, he is running for Congress. What.
Filtering through all of this, Bailey chases an endorsement from a former president. This behavior is far removed from his principles of faith, family, and farming.
Hypocrite, anyone, anyone.

Didn’t we run out of tinfoil for hats yet, so these people can absorb reality??
- Save Illinois - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 1:15 pm:
The Baileys are hard workers but morals are very lacking. They use God as a tool to get at the hearts of the Christian voters. Find a senator who worked with him ask them their opinion of his service.

Bailey is appearing at the Open Door Diner in Altamont tonight from 5-7 pm. You can comment on his hat in person or better yet, ask him about his flip-flopping on the election. Should be a hoot.
- Dotnonymous x - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 2:40 pm:
For his efforts, Darren Bailey will surely be inducted into The Political Hall of Lame.
- Huh? - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 3:23 pm:
“where the lord will lead him next”
Out wandering around in his field, getting stuck in a rut. I wish I could say he was out standing in it. But he would probably misunderstand it to be “outstanding”.
- Stephenson County - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 3:32 pm:
Darren,
Just go away.
- Pundent - Friday, Sep 22, 23 @ 3:46 pm:
Sadly any criticism or critique of Bailey will be worn like a badge of honor. For the MAGA crowd consistency in the message isn’t nearly as important as owning the libs and who’s doing it better. That’s what this race will come down to.
