I finally canceled my Trib subscription yesterday after forgetting before the last couple of billing cycles. I have intended to ever since they gave Vallas a bigger platform AFTER losing. I just saw they let Rauner publish a new editorial about charter schools. What year is it? What state does he live in now? Happy to give block club and the Sun Times my money for now.

Along with others, I give the SJR a lot grief for what they have become.
But, kudos to our paper delivery person, the last two Sundays have been bad weather but they had our paper in our box by 6:30 AM. And we live in country.
Yes, I’m still old school, we get the paper in the box once a week on Sunday because I can’t eat my Sunday breakfast without the hard copy of the SJR’s sports page.
I just got my ComEd bill with the bulk of the arctic blast low temps and it hurts. The striking thing to me is that the “Carbon-Free Energy Resource Adj” went from being a credit in late 2022 (when we had the last arctic blast) to a significant charge this year. My taxes and fees for the December 2022 arctic blast went from -$11.95 to +$102 for the January 2024 bill. An increase of $114 in the span of a year seems excessive.
Chicago wasting more time w this ceasefire resolution issue. The situation in Gaza will not be impacted one way or the other if it passes or doesn’t pass.
Israel couldnt care less what a municipality thousands of miles away thinks.

Yet didn’t mention his daughter attending Walter Payton high school.

Jocko with as good a post as we’ll see all day. Well done.
The Tribune’s love affair with losers Vallas and Rauner is baffling. Probably shouldn’t be, but it is.
