The recent carping over natgas reminded me of the commercials from the 80s. You probably remember them too, as there was a years long nationwide ad campaign from the natgas lobby to stigmatize heat pumps.
Thanks @TheInvisibleMan for the link. Those commercials are so great. About the heat pump thing, I’m really glad they’ve advanced so far that they can work below zero now. Now if the old school HVAC guys can get on board with the new tech! (Also, I wish that the Illinois EPA would get their IRA rebate system up and running.)
I’ll take $1.66 spot prices any day. The recent LNG permitting halt is a boon for IL households. And will make Natgas appliances even more attractive
“Environmental issues aside, supporters of the LNG permit halt say that lower U.S. LNG exports would ease upward price pressures on natural gas and electricity in America as more gas would be available for the domestic market”
Another DeMarvelous win for the Bulls last night with a great fadeaway shot and foul for a three point play. The Bulls are great at clutch time and DeRozan is a great closer. Not saying they’re championship material, but nice to watch exciting wins.

Went to the Rivian site on a desktop to look at the R2, and the “Meet R2″ site is telling me to rotate my phone for an optimal viewing experience.
Am I the only person that uses a computer in 2024?
