I’m 23. The first political event I really remember is the 2016 election. I’m feeling hope about politics, ahead of the DNC, in a way I’ve never felt before.
- hisgirlfriday - appears to be a multi-agency task force raid on all their locations in multiple cities. According to reports I’ve read, ATF is involved … which would lead me to think they are looking for firearms violations. I know the MacArthur location is a licensed firearms dealer; not sure about the other locations.
Friend is a firearms dealer. There are a ton on Federal regulations, and an additional bunch of State ones, that have to be followed. Most likely they are looking for violations.
Me and the missus are going to sit down and go over our second installment payment toward Chicago property taxes after dinner. After we’re done crying, I’m sure we’ll discuss why Brandon and Co. deserve that $5 billion.

Mr. Sour Grapes (Rod B) wrote an OpEd published in the WSJ today. It’s…it’s funny. He’s so not relevant but wants to be.

Seeing a bunch of reports about police activity at several Central Illinois locations of Monster Pawn all happening today. Wonder what that’s about.

I agree. They are looking for something specific.
FWIW … just drove past the MacArthur location (it’s near my house so I pass it regularly). Entire parking lot still full of various agency’s vehicles.

I drove by the Springfield Monster Pawn shortly after 4 and there were still police vehicles, interestingly they mostly looked to be Chatham PD.

- MyTwoCents - drove past the MacArthur one a bit after 5:30. Looks like most the black Federal vehicles are gone and things are winding down.
Guess we’ll find out from the SJR in 3 or 4 days.

I don’t believe JB is going to leave Illinois to be Veep. He, unlike Blago, genuinely seems to like being Gov.
