- Give Me A Break - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 8:15 am:
Due to fear of another parking meter issue, Chicago officials chose an alternative spot.
- Jose Abreu's Next Homerun - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 8:18 am:

- Bud Grant - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 8:30 am:
Easy mistake, those things are red up here.
- Denver Masonry - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 8:40 am:
wow amazing view love it
- Burrito Man - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 8:42 am:
Whaaa.. I did nothin’ wrong!”
Your City of Chicago would have issued a $200.00 ticket within a second. Pure arrogance.
- DuPage Saint - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 8:42 am:
And I bet he hey kept at speed limit or below on the ride down too
- Bruce( no not him) - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 8:45 am:
That wasn’t there when i parked.
- sewer thoughts - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 8:47 am:
don’t we have a train line between these exact cities? especially for an overnight stay, get a good walk in and then you get to drink as much as you want. foolishness.
- Sir Reel - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 9:06 am:
Laws are for little people.
- Joe Bidenopolous - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 9:31 am:

Standing by a parking meter When I caught a glimpse of Rita Filling in a ticket in her little white book
- Unionman - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 10:23 am:
Has anyone taken the time to FOIA who that vehicle is assigned to at the moment.
- CentralILCentrist - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 10:29 am:
On a dimly lit street of the Capitol City, crime sits idle.
- BoSox - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 10:39 am:
Thank goodness you found it! I reported it stolen this morning.
- Give Us Barabbas - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 10:42 am:
He’s parked in Oberweiss’ spot.
- H-W - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 10:42 am:
Because there are never any fires after dark, officer.
- @misterjayem - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 10:44 am:
Before passing judgment, we need to be certain that the hydrant was there when the vehicle was parked.
To make that determination, I’ve assembled a blue-ribbon commission of stakeholders that will issue a report no later than Jan 1, 2028.
Thank you for your understanding and concern regarding this matter.
No further questions.

Parking tickets in Springfield are like, $10. You can’t valet park in Chicago for less than that and parking garages are at least $30.
So the mayor’s office is finally showing they have a grasp of smart fiscal policy.
- SalukinCU - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 12:21 pm:
Dibs!
- Huh? - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 1:06 pm:
The only thing missing is a windshield papered with parking tickets.
Either that or a fire hose going through the side windows and attached to the hydrant.
- Huh? - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 1:07 pm:
It was the only space available along the curb when they parked. Hours later, the other cars left to go elsewhere.
- Rich Miller - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 1:09 pm:

Ya think?
Such genius.
By the way, did you miss the fire plug?
- Huh? - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 1:10 pm:
“By the way, did you miss the fire plug?”
Kinda difficult to miss it. It was the reason for the comment.
- Who else - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 1:50 pm:
We won’t be needing this, we already burned everything to the ground.
- AlfondoGonz - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 2:13 pm:
In case of fire, pound grass.
- H-W - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 4:02 pm:
@ Huh?
You should have used the sarcasm logo. *smile*
I laughed.
- ArchPundit - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 4:04 pm:
The last time I had a problem parking in Springfield was at Obama’s announcement. And yet this person found a hydrant to park in front of…
- ChicagoBars - Wednesday, Nov 20, 24 @ 7:59 pm:
The van is just there to pressgang two maybe tree lobbyists during veto session to become Mayor Johnson’s new IGA lobsters.
