Sex Workers. A legal and a viable form of employment for our already lost and disenfranchised youth. Good use of taxpayer dime. Lemme guess, they are collaborating with Mayor of Chicago…
Not liking how it seems like a bunch of Bears talking heads and fans online have talked themselves into thinking that McCarthy would be a good head coach hire.
The fanbase is going to sour on McCarthy by week four of the 2025 season if we hire him, guaranteed.
McCarthy is exactly the sort of forgettable retread that will get the Bears just barely over .500, win zero playoff games, and waste Caleb’s entire rookie contract. Then he’ll get fired, and replaced by someone just as mid.
== but he has 8 division titles and 1 super bowl victory ==
Sure, and the Chiefs long-snapper has three Super Bowl rings. Not sure many would give him any of the credit for it realistically, though.
McCarthy is a guy that can stand on the sideline and only kind of stink and was fortunate enough to be hired into two coaching gigs with long-term stability built in by design. He did next to nothing to bring more out of his team, and pretty inarguably you can call his tenure out in Green Bay for winning “only” one Super Bowl given that they had a top five QB of all time during his time there.
Sen. Duckworth with a blistering questioning of Hegseth for sec def. Her commentary clearly partially inspired by something I missed turning on late, his comment about women in the military.

Not sold on McCarthy as Bears coach, but he has 8 division titles and 1 super bowl victory, which is more than anyone they have hired recently.

Yup, Mike McCarthy would be an uninspired hire. Hard pass. I’d like Marcus Freeman to get a long look from the Bears.
