Unclear on the concept
Monday, Mar 31, 2025 - Posted by Rich Miller * Um, Tom, if you’re gonna lead the anti-RINO opposition (he even has a theme song), at least take the time to learn that the Chicago Teachers Union is a local within the Illinois Federation of Teachers, not the Illinois Education Association… ![]() Unreal.

Tom’s not big on facts

Clearly someone had a subpar teacher growing up.

Sounds like a local candidate we have running for school board. He put on his Facebook page that he is a right in candidate for school board. Not making this up. God Help Us.

Imagine had he won and become the AG of Illinois. Just imagine.

Shorter Devore- “I am lazy and not very smart”
Tommy is proof that you do not have to be very gright to have an effective grift.
- Flyin' Elvis'-Utah Chapter - Monday, Mar 31, 25 @ 12:05 pm:
Just for grits and shins let’s get DeVore’s interpretation of the 22nd Amendment.

The CTU brand is so toxic that you can throw it at anything in the same universe and it sticks.
The IEA gives Severin money because he runs unopposed, providng them a cheap buy-in to claim they are bipartisan.

Something flew by on one of my social media feeds just the other day from this guy. He seemed to be implying everyone in a certain township in Bond county has a ‘case’ against their property taxes - for some reason. He is having an information meeting at the end of April.
I didn’t dig into it much more, since it just seemed like his latest grift. I’m guessing he just picked the township with the highest assessment increase and is targeting those people to get the most in fees.

Are you Tom DeVore, Jr.? Severin had a contested primary just last year.

Primary. When IEA sends him a $20,000 check when running against a Dem, I’ll buy you a Coke.

===$20,000 check when running against a Dem===
Not sure what your point is, because ain’t no way a Dem can win that redrawn district. Trump won it *by* 55 points.

This is just big biased mainstream blog media that is spreading a hoax. It’s fake news! It’s a witch hunt!
*this post is sarcastic
- Frida's Boss - Monday, Mar 31, 25 @ 1:36 pm:
Tom’s a goof and continues to prove it over and over again.
- Hummm - Monday, Mar 31, 25 @ 1:36 pm:
Does Tom ever stop to think that school districts are some of the largest in not the largest employers in these rural counties?!
- JoanP - Monday, Mar 31, 25 @ 1:59 pm:
= Does Tom ever stop to think? =
No, never.

The IEA has supported Republicans the entire 20 years I’ve worked in IL politics. In fact, the endorsed Dan Brady in a statewide race (for the GE) just 3 years ago.
- Wildcat - Monday, Mar 31, 25 @ 2:12 pm:
Tom Devore and facts are like oil and water. He goes on about how Trump got more votes than JB, well Kamala also got more votes than JB.
- jolietj - Monday, Mar 31, 25 @ 2:14 pm:
Severin is a good man. DeVore barking up the wrong tree.
- North Side sox fan - Monday, Mar 31, 25 @ 3:03 pm:
It seems to me that Trumpers are the real RINOs. The republican party claims to be about family values, fiscal conservativism, keeping government out of our lives. Trump is none of that. He does not respect our military, law enforcement, or our constitution. The ultimate RINO.
- ANON - Monday, Mar 31, 25 @ 3:35 pm:
The IEA has always supported the GOP. It is in their interest to do so, that’s where all their members live and work!
- JSI - Monday, Mar 31, 25 @ 6:52 pm:
I saw “Tom” and then “WJPF” and thought this was referring to Tom Miller who is just an upstanding and outstanding guy. I then saw you were talking about that one Tom. The attacks from the far right on people like Dave Severin and Terri Bryant are beyond me.
