On April 1, 2007, legislation was passed to create Cheap Trick Day in Illinois. […]
“With the profound impact Cheap Trick has had on music for 52 years, we are proud of their accomplishments, beyond happy they are still entertaining in venues around the world and pleased they still call Illinois home,” said State Senator Dave Syverson (R-Cherry Valley), who sponsored the legislation.
* Bun E. Carlos could really pound those skins. Turn it up…

At least they put the fans first and brought Bun E. back for the Rock and Roll HoF performance (where Rick took the time to gift Steve Miller a guitar). Special band.
First time I saw them MANY years ago per a friend’s insistence at a DIVE bar near 22 in Lincolnshire? Lead singer sat with 2 beautiful women on bar-stools feet from us at a break. I heard him ask the women ‘Can you hear my vocals? I think Rick’s guitar is too loud, drowning me out.’ I wanted to but didn’t say, ‘Turn the guitar up’

Cheap Trick getting old, Ann Wilson performed from a wheel chair.

Can you honestly tell me you forgot? Forgot the magnetism of Robin Zander, or the charisma of Rick Nielsen? -Damone.
