Visiting family, catching some live music, and maybe hitting replay on this Stringdusters tune about 50 more times. Thanks for always sharing the great music with us, Rich——another wonderful blog benefit.
Going to the beach. My grandson starts his first job as a life guard at one the Lake Michigan beaches. He knows that his grandmother will be there a lot. I hope that that will not be too annoying for him. I do have a wet suit so I plan to go in. Brrr
I’m leaving town on Monday to go to my {mumblety-mumble} college reunion, so the weekend will mostly be spent getting ready to travel.
I might go to the Art Institute, but Sueños is happening, so maybe avoiding downtown is a better idea. Festival street closure season has begun.

Weather is not warm enough, personally. Still planning a day event out of town. But mostly staying local, going out to eat, watching playoff basketball and hockey. Great games happen, like the other night in New York with the Indiana Pacers.
I want to spend it working out in the garden. That is entirely dependent on the buffalo gnat situation though. They are especially bad in my area this year.
@sangamo girl, yes they are(bp) the only thing I’m finding that works is buggins spray. (the one specifically for gnats)

Keeping clear of the lake for the weekend because of the opening day yahoos on the water, but will be working on lengthening my trailer to accommodate a long Coleman canoe That came my way. Went to Selvaggio for the square steel tubing and thanks to tariff-driven price hikes, paid about a third more than I was expecting.
Catching up on stuff because we were gone last week for our wedding anniversary.
Thinking about getting one of the cars out on Saturday and going to Atlanta, IL for a cruise-in and to see the installation of yet another giant at the Giant’s Museum there.
If you’re not familiar with the giants, they were fiberglass men and women used for advertising along RT-66 and other places. If you’re in Springfield, you likely know the Lauterbach one on Wabash that lost its head (found and repaired) during the 2007 twin tornados.

Will be touring Forgottonia and crossing off many counties on my list in my quest to get to them all.

It’s strange being able to actually enjoy Memorial Day Weekend. We’re usually hours away from adjourning.

Hot dogs. Nathan’s Hot Dogs. Yes, the NY version is really good. But mustard, always mustard. I’m not totally off.
