You know you’re in a heat wave when 85º sounds cool.
Also, you have a few more chances to see “An Iliad” at Court Theatre before it closes next Sunday. I saw it again yesterday (I’ve seen each of the four productions), and it continues to blow me away. https://www.courttheatre.org/season-tickets/special-event/an-iliad-2025/

I wonder what the impact to the Illinois economy is every time the federal government removes a resident — most of whom are working and many of whom are helping to raise children. $50K/year? $100K/year in economic activity lost? Sales tax lost from buying stuff, income tax lost, etc.

ok, so I just lost an hour listening to and reading about Jesse Welles, watching a ton of videos. Excellent. Love this guy’s lyrical skills too.
Freshening the bird baths, 2x day, in central illinois.

Mr/Ms LeatherNeck hears popcorn…we tend to hear the intro music to ShakeDown Shuffle when it comes to Hollywood. Stay cool
