Tuesday, Jul 1, 2025 - Posted by Rich Miller * Finding this video online is like digging up a super-cringe time capsule. Check out the hair and the outfits. Whew, boy. It’s one of those phases some of us would prefer not to remember, including the awkward Wolfman Jack cameo… I said, “You got my number?” What up by you?

Egad.
A gorgeous day up on da Nort’side. I almost forgot what the (temperature) 70s felt like.

Those old Don Kirschner rock concerts were great entertainment on a Friday night. If I recall they used to be simulcast on one of the Chicago radio stations. We played it over the table radio because the speaker was better than our television. Those old shows are available on YouTube now. Worth a watch.

Completely forgot the ILGA switchover was happening today. Was doing a check on a few pending laws, and got very confused when the links went over to the new site. It’s looking clean, but it’ll be awhile before I forget the ugly, but very practical original site.

I think it’s time to check the old photo albums in the basement for possible incriminating evidence of me wearing some “what was I thinking?” clothes back in the day before my kids find them.

Hard to say for sure if the search features of the new ilga.gov are actually bad, or if I just haven’t figured out how to use them, yet. Can’t find old Public Acts without a ton of extra clicks, can’t get to bill status pages or pdfs through the search results, have to go back and re-search for the bill number once/if I find the Public Act I’m looking for?! I’m going to cry.

Just watched this video the other day and love the song. Wolfman didn’t do the original bit on the record, but it was based on him and sounded like him.

Anyone have any idea when the Capitol underground parking project will be completed–and when or if College Street between the above ground parking deck and Monroe will be reopened as well as the right two lanes of Monroe?

In case you aren’t aware, with 1450 and 970 (and their stations) under the same Woodward Media umbrella now and everything in the process of moving from Southern View to Riverton, this morning was the first morning that Sam Madonia’s show (AM Springfield) aired on 970 after being on 1450 since October 1996.
