You who choose to lead must follow. But if - you fall - you fall alone. If you should stand then who’s to guide you? If I knew the way I would take you home!
A little slow this a.m. after staying up until 2 a.m. watching the amazing 18 inning World Series thriller.
Ohtani, the greatest baseball player ever, reached base safely all nine at bats. Incredible.

I gave up on the World Series after the 14th inning. That’s as far as I made it in 2005, when Geoff Blum won it for the Sox.
Loving this October weather now that it’s almost November. Cool but not too cool.

That was a World Series game for the ages.
The hitting by the Dodgers eventually overwhelmed the Blue Jays. Give the Dodgers hitters 18 innings and over 500 pitches and they are eventually going to beat you. But it says something great about Toronto they took it 18 innings.
The play by Tommy Edman though. Wow. There are maybe a half dozen infielders in the major leagues that can get to that ball, fewer that can make that throw. He saved the game.

Enjoying fall in the 60827. “The long sobbing violins of autumn wound my heart with a monotonous languor.” — French poet Paul Verlaine’s line, also used as a coded message to the French Resistance in WWII. How our autumns have changed over the years.
Thank you Rich’s mom. We need this now more than ever before

Anything by the Dead is a good call. I love Ripple, Estimated Prophet, and so many others. The Wheel is my current favorite. “The wheel is turning and you can’t slow down, you can’t let go and you can’t hold on, you can’t go back and you can’t stand still, if the thunder don’t get you then the lightning will.” Robert Hunter lyrics are a gift.
