Starved Rock eagle days are this weekend. Best place to see the eagles is at the Starved Rock lock & dam visitor center. With the bitter cold, the birds will congregate around the open water below the dam. The visitor center will likely have a number of telescopes set up for viewing.

Furnace has been running like crazy. Glad I opted for a budget plan with the gas company. Will dull the impact of the high heating bill.
