This evening, the committeepeople representing the 13th House District hosted a virtual community forum for the five candidates and the community. At 2 p.m., candidate Adam Braun made it known by text that he would not be attending the forum. He then posted a statement on his social media page as the forum began insinuating that the process was unfair due to endorsements provided by committeepeople.
Unfortunately for him, the event was recorded, live-streamed, and has already been viewed hundreds of times. It clearly showcases that the questions were fair and informative, helping voters make educated decisions before early voting began on Monday, March 2.

Along with community organizations and residents, we express our sincere disappointment that candidate Adam Braun chose to skip and disparage the last community forum before early voting begins.
Over 70 community members attended the policy-focused event, which was also live-streamed on Facebook, where fair and thoughtful questions were asked. The members of the community did not deserve to have Mr. Braun dismiss and disrespect them at the last minute.
The community members requested a forum to make an educated decision before casting their ballot. 13th House District voters deserve transparency, accessibility, and a willingness from candidates to show up and participate.
