On the bright side it means Team Mendoza is using a vendor like Salsa that has better ethics for their mass texting platform than others. I am very curious where they got their list of numbers from, though. Hopefully they just didn’t scrape cell phone numbers from the voter file and send it to every primary voter and are using a better curated list.

Or just don’t send them at all. I can’t think of a single time I’ve had any positive impression from unsolicited text messages. All this does is make me want to block texts entirely.

Maybe I’m old school, but why is there a heart emoji in a political text. Did my decades in this industry accidentally sign me up for a situationship instead of a campaign. After all the work I’ve put in as a woman in this line of work, a tiny, red cartoon heart is not about to become my new symbol of “professional respect.” SMH.

Put me on the list. Just now. Would be fascinating to know what list they bought….
