Romel Esmail and Bassam Haj Yousif of Global Real Estate Investors LLC are accused of using at least $3.6 million of loan proceeds for their own personal benefit — including the purchase of a vehicle, jewelry and other real estate….The two launched an effort to convert a building at 6 N. From the “even a stopped clock is right twice a day” … the new bridge in St Louis being a “free” bridge rather than a “toll” bridge shows Blagojevich did at least one thing right. Every bridge with a toll across the Mississippi at St Louis has defaulted upon it’s bonds. That fact did not stop Missouri’s then boy wonder governor, Matt Blunt, from proposing the bridge be tolled, and owned by a foreign company. Guess that makes Blagojevich one for a million.
