The Purple Hotel could do worse than hire him for their group sales job. He’s made them famous and there’s a niche industry just waiting to be cultivated.
I don’t think the Purple Motel appreciated the publicity….I remember from the Rezko trial he frequented another hotel (can’t remember the name off hand) and they banned him…He also admitted not remembering writing a check for $3 million dollars and accused his secretary of forging it…Could his memory have improved over the past 3.5 years??? Or has Stuart been coached???
Also, from the trial of Tony Rezo, Joe Duffy caught Stuart in a lie…Stuart said he went, “cold turkey” after being arrested…only to admit under cross that he had “used” a couple of times after that…
“Star witness Stuart Levine testified in the Rezko trial on Monday that he partied from dusk to dawn at the Purple Hotel in Lincolnwood and sometimes in Springfield with five male friends whom he would fly downstate in a private jet. His stash over the years included pot, coke, Special K, ecstasy, speed and crystal meth.
Largely lost in the haze of Levine’s drug testimony was his statement that Rezko reassured him that recently passed ethics legislation – now championed by Rezko pal Barack Obama as a signal achievement in his political career – was “just for show.”
This was cut from “Division Street” blog from the Rezko trial…who could the 5 be????
Stuart Levine admitted using for over 30 years, spending one million dollars over a 4 year period…this kind of long term use causes brain damage and you are 3 times more likeleyto develop Alzheimers…If I were defending Cellini I would have Stuart tested…
I don’t really care who the 5 are, just if they had been interviewed by authorities…If they had any information? Did Stuart brag about deals to them? “Boys”, were they of a consulting age? Did the Rezko or Cellini defense ever interview them? For the defense they could provide damaging information on Levines credibility, not that he hasn’t done enough of that already…It is pathetic that the prosecution is putting Levine through this when they could just let Rezko testify…
