    –To wit: Speaker Madigan is a huge #FightingIrish fan; #IL #GOP Leader Cross is a #RollWithTheTide, @UofAlabama guy. #BCS–

For once, Cross is a heavy favorite to beat Madigan.

  2. - amalia - Monday, Jan 7, 13 @ 9:12 am:

this national championship game….ugh. but since I cannot stand the way ND handled sexual assault cases that involved football players, Roll Tide.

  3. - Bobbysox - Monday, Jan 7, 13 @ 1:48 pm:

It is interesting to hear that what the panel thinks is their “skin in the game” mostly is set to expire in a couple of years, but the “skin” taken from public employees will remain off for the rest of their lives and the lives of any survivors.

  4. - Confused? - Monday, Jan 7, 13 @ 2:07 pm:

Isn’t it true that the state has continued to underfund or completely skip funding of the IL pension for the last 14yrs? Then to top it off BORROW from it? Does this bill wipe the slate of the money they owe with the guarentee to fund it from now on?

  5. - Meaningless - Monday, Jan 7, 13 @ 3:21 pm:

The political representatives that vote in favor of this pension cutting legislation have let the “common” people of Illinois down in the most immoral and unethical way possible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
