* This began on June 2nd…

* And then a Democrat hit him with some kindness…

“Who” let the yappy ankle biter out today??? Was Wehrli getting points for every tweet he twitted???

  2. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 2:58 pm:

    Dear Rep. Wehrli…

    Karma bud…

    Karma.

  3. - Indochine - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 2:59 pm:

Not that I disagree, but Grant who?

  4. - CrazyHorse - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:02 pm:

==Would you keep a teacher in place who was a suspected predator?==

Absolutely pathetic to compare the two. SMH.

  5. - Former State Employee - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:03 pm:

He’s got a little mental loop thing going it seems

  6. - SinkingShip - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:09 pm:

Hey, everyone, did you know that our Auditor General is under federal investigation? You should tell everyone that our Auditor General is under federal investigation because it’s true that our Auditor General is under federal investigation.

    Hey everyone, did you hear…

  7. - anan - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:11 pm:

The thing that annoys me the most is using “AG” to refer to the Auditor General. I mean, it’s not wrong, but I just think of Attorney General whenever I see AG

  8. - Anonymous - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:12 pm:

So if he is ever questioned on anything he will apply the same standard to himself?

  9. - Annonin' - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:15 pm:

Wow that Wehrli has some powerful messages. But what is the sense of being fool is you can’t act like. A new version of Cal Skinner. Wonder if his palms get sweating too?

  10. - 47th Ward - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:19 pm:

Geez, why can’t Wehrli take up Candy Crush and waste his time in private like most people?

  11. - Norseman - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:19 pm:

Once or twice is a message, he’s long since crossed over into troll category.

  12. - Someone you should know - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:22 pm:

Welch has got a good heart, Good Egg.

  13. - lech W - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:22 pm:

Must be a slow news day if this is what we get; as I mentioned on the GOP anti Chicago ad yesterday, I hope Rich is out monitoring Dem twitter feeds and reporting the same.

  14. - Wizzard of Ozzie - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:24 pm:

I thought he was a pretty reasonable dude. He doesn’t even have a real race. Does he realize that trolling your colleagues on Twitter makes it actually more difficult to get anything done?

    What a weirdo.

  15. - Rich Miller - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:25 pm:

=== I hope Rich is out monitoring Dem twitter feeds and reporting the same.===

Trust me, if I see somebody trolling like this I’ll do something on it. In the meantime, don’t be such a victim.

  16. - Precinct Captain - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:29 pm:

Sounds like Grant is next up to become a heroic superstar.

  17. - levois - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:29 pm:

this was just bizarre. and i hope he does that joint town hall meeting. something tells me he’d balk if it actually is scheduled.

  18. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:30 pm:

    - lech W -

There was a Sandack tweet targeting Rep. Cloonen, “accidentally” tweeted by Sandack. What a colleague.

The tweet was probably between a Sox score update tweet and another telling @StatehouseChick she rocks!

    “Twitter is fun!”

    Ugh.

  19. - Fusion - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:31 pm:

@Pontifex: In prayer let us experience the compassion of God, full of merciful love.

@FakeWehrli: @Pontifex We pray that the Illinois auditor general steps aside during investigation.

  20. - Demoralized - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:36 pm:

This is exactly what we want in our representatives. Maturity.

    Dear Politicians:

    Just. Stop. Tweeting.

  21. - Formerly Known As... - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:37 pm:

Has Rep Mitchell given his opinion of the Auditor General stepping down while under federal investigation for his own books?

  22. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:37 pm:

@FakeRepWehrli - there are two things I can’t stand. Bullying & that the Auditor General won’t give in to my bullying #YeahBaby #SharksWithLazers

  23. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:39 pm:

@FakeRepWehrli - Like if you want me to troll someone, retweet if you think I should set a better example to my family #FirstTrollProblems

  24. - A guy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:41 pm:

This guy is a Grade A dork. The kid’s Tw is even worse. He’s a leader of one, on a good day, if there’s a mirror in the room. Ugh.

  25. - Formerly Known As... - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:41 pm:

Other than =innocent until proven guilty= in that tweet?

If not, perhaps he should clarify. This could boomerang to hurt him depending on the Feds investigation, and he wouldn’t be the first.

  26. - And I Approved This Message - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:42 pm:

This guy needs a hobby. Too much free time.

  27. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:45 pm:

@FakeRepWehrli - I don’t believe in Karma but I do believe people can look really foolish when they don’t realize the example they set for others #FollowersBeforeFamily

  28. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:46 pm:

@FakeRepWehrli - I’ll leave the Auditor General alone if he gives me his milk money and his Mickey Mantle baseball card #OldSchoolBully

  29. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:49 pm:

@FakeRepWehrli - I’d say my Twitter got hacked but no one would believe these ignorant tweets are anybody’s but mine #WhenTheTweetsFit

  30. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:53 pm:

    @FakeRepWehrli - I deleted all my trolling tweets. So the 6,017 tweets I originally had… I’m down to 31 #TweetsSpeakVolumesIn140… “#Character”

  31. - Norseman - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:54 pm:

Don’t know him, so I’ll take a guy’s word for it. Certainly unimpressive so far.

  32. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 3:57 pm:

@FakeRepWehrli - Being a Freshman, it’s important to me to be seen as boisterous and trolling as opposed to effective learning #ImDoingItRightByDoingItWrong

  33. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 4:00 pm:

@FakeRepWehrli - if being a trolling, obsessive, Freshman is a good way to get your name out there, Tweet. Me. In! #Hashtag

  34. - A guy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 4:01 pm:

Norse, you made me blush. lol

  35. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 4:03 pm:

@FakeRepWehrli - I know many of you tweet me about important stuff, (whatevs), but unless you want to help me troll, I’m gonna ignore you #UnSocialMedia

  36. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 4:07 pm:

@FakeRepWehrli - it’s important to me to have my followers on Twitter see my idiosyncrasies. Some call them annoying ticks, but whatevs #ShowingTrueCharacter

  37. - Michelle Flaherty - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 4:09 pm:

    @GrantWehrli is Sandack’s junk folder.

  38. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 4:10 pm:

@FakeRepWehrli - I want to make your hear whirl with my ridiculous obsessiveness. I’ll let the real legislators do the heavy lifting #RoundAndRound

  39. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 4:18 pm:

@FakeRepWehrli - I will keep trolling everyone until I’m seen worse than Rep Ives and Rep Drury combined #TrollingTakingItsTollOnColleagues

  40. - SAP - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 4:18 pm:

    ==@GrantWehrli is Sandack’s junk folder.==

    Ha X 3.

  41. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 4:19 pm:

@FakeRepWehrli - Y’all think I’m the worst troll in the GA, I’m not even the worst troll in my household #TweetsVolumes

  42. - WTF - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 4:23 pm:

Does this mean the very first time the Rauner administration or an agency gets a federal subpoena we can expect the GOPers to ask him to step down? What about subpoenas related to his campaign accounts or his dark money accounts? Because I’m betting there will be some at some point.

  43. - A guy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 4:39 pm:

Maybe Wehrli can do a town hall in Mitchell’s district too. Heck, with the kind of time he’s got, he could do the rounds. Take the mouthy kid with him too.

  44. - Anonymous - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 4:41 pm:

Democrats wrapping their arms around democrats!

  45. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 4:47 pm:

@FakeRepWehrli - It’s more important to me to be seen as unhinged and irrational. Anyone can be a thoughtful legislator #StandingOutByStandingOutwardlySilly

  46. - thoughts matter - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 4:50 pm:

As a freshman, he’s got nothing better to do? Surely there’s a lot of self-education he could be doing - reading the statutes, finding the restrooms, learning his fellow elected officials names? The adage ‘there is no such thing as bad publicity’ isn’t really true.

  47. - Amalia - Friday, Jun 17, 16 @ 4:51 pm:

the level of discussion in the public realm is in the fake wrestling world now. it’s not just here. it’s everywhere. Trump rallies, Sanders stans, public meetings with yelling and demands that are off the rails. calm down people. save the outrage for something really outrageous, like abortion clinics being shot up and bombed, the Orlando massacre, the children who were slaughtered in New Town. we will find out soon enough what is going on with Rep. Mautino, who by all accounts is a really great guy. but until then, it’s Friday. have a drink.
