Mike Madigan declined to ask for special elections saying “I didn’t trust that Blago would sign the legislation”. Durbin said “We will not seat anybody Blago appoints”. I am not in Madigan’s district so can’t work to get him out. He has too much power over me and I have no vote to get rid of him. Durbin is an incumbent and they are hard to beat.
