Daley heading south
Friday, Jun 28, 2013 - Posted by Rich Miller * Bill Daley travels to the Metro East today…
Callis’ campaign Facebook page says the kickoff fundraiser features former NFL great Marshall Faulk. No mention of Daley. You gotta wonder if Callis wanted that highlighted. Just sayin…

Daley’s trying to raise some real money. Hitting up a bunch of $5,300 contributors, including names like Robert Rubin, Vernon Jordan, Tom Rosenberg, Bill Singer, according to ISBE.

Given the downstate sentiment for cutting Chicago off from the rest of the state, it’s no surprise that Daley isn’t being touted. Rep. Bill Mitchell’s resolution for a separate state got good press downstate.

Maybe he should call up the Decatur Militia and fire on the site of old Ft. Dearborn. Have the courage of his convictions.
It’s hilarious and pathetic at the same time that this kind of ignorant red-meat still plays in some circles.

Good.
I thought Rich’s “Daley
heading south” was a headline about polling.
Actually Daley’s getting some surprising traction in the burbs, from what I’m hearing locally.

I was told that it’s a fundraiser for Callis, and anyone who buys a ticket — including Mr. Daley — is welcome to attend. AFAIK, Callis hasn’t taken sides in any of the statewide primaries at this point.

===I was told that===
It would be nice if the campaign had returned my call.

Rich, Callis’s campaign manager told me that he never got a call from you in the first place.

These are people he’s known/worked with for 30 years. For a congressional candidate they’d be a big coup, for him it’s the guys down the hall. It’ll be more impressive if he can get homemakers in dupage county who go to emilys list events to give him $100-showing grassroots strength in the suburbs.
I don’t think he’ll sell and his flop will be a warning shot to Lisa madigan and every other democrat in this state who thinks a brand is viable forever.

I called a number from one of her press releases and left a message before I posted this. He’s since contacted me.

Wayward, your handle fits you, because your mind is wandering.
What’s the upside of what you’re doing? Who’s lying, do you think? Rich or some campaign staffer?
Use your head.
