NRSC: “Duckworth sides with terrorists”

Tammy Duckworth Sides With Terrorists, Protects Iran Again
Good Afternoon,
Tammy Duckworth’s blind support for the nuclear giveaway to Iran reached a new low today when she cast a vote in Congress to protect the Iranian regime and support terrorists instead of their victims.
The Justice For Victims Of Iranian Terrorism Act would have prohibited $100 billion in sanctions relief for Iran under the nuclear deal unless the regime complied with an order to pay $43.5 billion in damages to terror victims and their families. This afternoon, Duckworth voted against the measure.
Duckworth had the opportunity to hold the Iranian regime accountable, instead she gave a free pass to state sponsors of terror, that’s just not the kind of leadership Illinois families deserve.

This kind of stuff just makes Mark Kirk look really desperate.
- Daniel Plainview - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 2:55 pm:
Wow, is Kirk dictating his own attack pieces these days? Someone might want to get into the middle of that.

Filed under: “Evidence Col. Duckworth will win this Senate, part 4,382″
or…..
The NRSC hired Sarah Palin to write their press releases?!??
- Demoralized - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 2:55 pm:
I don’t even know what to say.
Did they really just basically call Tammy Duckworth a terrorist? Unbelievable. These guys are pathetic.
- Aldyth - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 2:56 pm:
Words fail me.
- kimocat - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 2:56 pm:
How pathetic.
- 360 Degree TurnAround - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 2:57 pm:
Yes, the veteran who lost her legs in battle. Sides with terrorists?
- sal-says - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 3:06 pm:
== …that’s just not the kind of leadership Illinois families deserve. ==
EXACTLY what’s being said about the Repub-owned non- governorship that IL is under now.
And, ya gotta love the hyperbole. Wow.
- Anonymous - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 3:07 pm:
@360 Degree TurnAround: it worked against Max Cleland.
- 360 Degree TurnAround - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 3:13 pm:
Anonymous, you are right, and I stand sadly corrected. I have forgotten how many veterans the Republicans have smeared.
- cdog - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 3:13 pm:
Maybe her vote is more of a reflection of the trend towards the more moderate Shia, as compared to the many years of American policy standing by and not saying anything against Sunnis and wahabism.
Good for her. It’s a good vote in the current reality.

Paging the Grammar Police. Grammar terrorists detected at the NRSC. Paging the Grammar Police!
- train111 - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 3:21 pm:
cdog–I’ve often wondered the same. ISIS as a Sunni group is getting $0 from Shiite Iran, but is probably getting Bookoo $$$ out of Saudi Arabia who we pump all kinds of money into. Who are the terrorists we are supporting??
Never let any of this get into the way of a good hyperbolic plea that the world will end if you don’t support our side press release however.
- Big Joe - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 3:22 pm:
I’m speechless. Kirk is ready for the retirement farm.
- Dirty Red - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 3:23 pm:
This is why we can’t have nice things.

- 360 Degree TurnAround - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 3:28 pm:
Anonymouse - while I applaud the new term “grammar terrorist” - the state doesn’t have the money for grammar police. Grammar terrorists will continue to hold our state hostage.
- hisgirlfriday - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 3:31 pm:
Ted Cruz wing of the GOP heard from.
- Precinct Captain - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 3:53 pm:
There’s never an anti-veteran hole the GOP can’t sink to for electoral gain. Sick, especially since they are supporting a candidate who stole valor.
- FormerParatrooper - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 3:54 pm:
This release is what happens when the adults leave the room.
Although they did not directly call her a terrorist, they claimed she sided with terrorists. The implication is there, and it is ignorant partisan politics. Today it is the Republicans, tomorrow the Democrats, and we wonder why our State is paralyzed?
- Come on Man! - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 3:59 pm:
Buckle up folks this is going to be a bumpy ride.
- 35/Shields - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 3:59 pm:
Interesting. The bill seems like it was drafted and introduced solely for the purposes of putting together a shoddy hit piece. It’s DOA at the White House and given the failed attempt at gutting the Iran deal I doubt an override would be possible; more of a roll call to show who’s against the Iran deal than anything.
But to jump from a thinly veiled attempt to put someone in a trickbag to calling a retired double amputee combat veteran a terrorist? Weak sauce Mr. Kirk.
- Wordslinger - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 4:01 pm:
These national committees have D-List talent. If they had the goods, they’d be working for someone else.
Still, it’s curious as to how you walk down the path of questioning any American’s patriotism, or loyalty, or go totally bat-stuff crazy and put them in league with terrorists.
People give money to these clowns to do what they do?
Seriously, you can go totally Elmer Gantry/Lonesome Rhodes/Rush/Sean/Laura and some of the people, some of the time, will just throw money at you.
It’s s heckuva gig, if you can avoid mirrors in the morning.

Too bad-Kirk WAS one of the “good” Republicans. Apparently Raunerism has affected his brain, too.

Kirk fed staff to Rauner and provided campaign support. How’d that work for us.

This is the party that continues to operate in accordance to the gospel of Richard Nixon.
- Qui Tam - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 4:23 pm:
From the people who brought you “Mission Accomplished”.
- walker - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 4:25 pm:
Might be “D list talent” at national PACs.
Might also be lack of personal accountability by all concerned, including the “not coordinating” candidates.
- walker - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 4:32 pm:
Error in mine above. Not PAC. National committee. Same problem though.
- Phil - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 4:37 pm:
Just a thought, but maybe everyone who thinks this is a despicable hit piece sends an email to the Hon. Roger Wicker, (R-MI) chairman of the NRSC, and let him know how you feel? With a “CC” to Mark Kirk, as well.
- DuPage Dave - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 4:40 pm:
Nothing that happens to the people who wrote that drivel is bad enough. Tammy Duckworth put her life on the line and suffered grievous injury in defense of the United States. Criticize her leadership skills or legislative record, but don’t you date challenge her on her dedication to keeping this country safe.
And lest we forget it was Roskam that started this type of attack.
- West Side Willie - Thursday, Oct 1, 15 @ 8:54 pm:
Written while Captain Kirk was taking fire on a recon mission somewhere over Kenilworth .
- Different Strokes - Friday, Oct 2, 15 @ 1:05 am:
Duckworth is a mediocrity with delusions of competency. Keep promoting her because she is Dick Durbin’s choice.
- just sayin - Friday, Oct 2, 15 @ 1:14 am:
Does anyone know the combat mission she was on?
- McEnuf - Friday, Oct 2, 15 @ 8:14 am:
Tin foil hat stuff. Is Kirk appealing to the base now because he’s worried about a primary opponent? Appealing to the base will of Republican voters - especially from a Fox news beltway perspective - is a killer in the general election.
- slow down - Friday, Oct 2, 15 @ 9:11 am:
Different strokes, surely you’re wise enough to recognize that this press release from the RNSC is despicable regardless of whether you see Duckworth as good, bad or mediocre candidate.
