* Also, “other outlets”? I wonder if he’s referring to outlets like this one. * Also, too, getting his message out is not our job. Although as Wordslinger regularly points out in comments, the media mainly focuses on the personality conflict between Rauner and Madigan, or Rauner and Emanuel, or Rauner and whoever else he happens to be teeing off on whatever day it might be. They’re definitely getting that message out. Anyway… * The Question: What new and inventive ways do you think the governor will use to get his message out? Snark is heavily encouraged, of course.

I was gonna have him buy a racetrack and “turnaround” the track so the cars always turn right. The cars would be painted with various components of the agenda instead of sponsor logos. Superstar Driver Night would be a big draw as Goldberg and the gang get behind the wheel.

Use the time, probably in the early hours of the morning, to outline the problems with the current workman’s compensation system, the advantages of reducing spending on day care, and the need for tort reform.

Governor Bruce Rauner has announced that Jason Barclay, General Counsel to the Governor, will start doing ALL of the talking for the administration. The Governor cited Mr. Barclay’s attention to truth as a reason for the move.
The Governor added, “Once the people of Illinois hear the truthful words of Mr. Barclay, they will be better able to understand the issues of my turnaround agenda. I tried, but I just can’t describe events the way Mr. Barclay does”

At a recent meeting Linda Lingle went on a long rant on what great shape the state would be in if the Turn Around Agend had just been passed. She seems to have the time to do the local town meeting circuit.

Many years ago, I remember helping to build a “revenge” car for Sheehan’s to put one driver over the rail. Might be able to lend a bit of “technical assistance” to another effort. 😉

Proft will excel in the They’re all corrupt car. Kirk’s asking if he can enter the Not Trump car, but Rauner is hesitating because it doesn’t deal with TA. Of course, we all know who’s driving the Slip N’ Sue Tort Reform car. Filling up the field is Christine in the Squeeze the Beast and Sandack in the Must Sacrifice car.

I actually gave this some thought, and what I think would be the most effective method would be to actually give the news media something to report other than hyperbole and/or personality conflicts.
A non-stop, effective, accurate and mathematically correct justification for the policy positions being advocated, with effective supporters available to the media would change the news from “who would be a good prom date” to “analyzing the arguments and asking the opposition to respond.”
