It’s just a bill

* Actually, it’s a House resolution with several Democratic co-sponsors…
Urges the United States Congress to immediately adopt an “American Recovery” program by restoring the provisions of the Glass Steagall Act; returning to a national banking and a federal credit system, modeled on the principles of Alexander Hamilton’s First Bank of the United States; using the federal credit system to build a modern network of high speed rail, power generating systems, and water projects; and creating programs to rebuild our space program to put a permanent manned colony on the Moon, explore the solar system, and create nuclear fusion.
Why stop there?

They had me right up till there.
As an aside, you can really tell the age/world experience of folks involved with discussions about the space program. If they’re talking about lunar colonies, they tend to be substantially older and not terribly familiar with the realities of sustained human presence in space.
That’s why folks are more excited about Mars — which has an atmosphere of CO2 which provides more protection from radiation but also means that with just a supply of hydrogen and a power source humans can make oxygen, water, Carbon Monoxide or methane & oxygen for fuel.
Not to mention the climate is a lot more friendly to people. It’s not friendly, but compared to a vacuum?
This makes Mars much more practical than the Moon and more affordable in the long run as you wouldn’t need to send just about everything they need to survive.
But, hey, they’re heart’s in the right place even if their specific recommendation isn’t.

Because a National Bank worked so well the first time…
But, seriously, they left out a time machine? That could fix all of our problems

Like the “Hamilton” reference, with the hot play recently in the news an all. But I remember Hamilton’s last entanglement with a VP, and it didn’t go so well.

“to put a permanent manned colony on the Moon” Trump will be transported to the Moon colony and will become its first president.
