The Illinois Democratic Coordinated Campaign has the support of Gov. JB Pritzker’s campaign, the Democratic Senate Caucus, members of Congress and the Democratic Party of Illinois. Missing on the ticket are the House Democrats.
The state party says “it’s waiting” for the House and a few members of Congress to get on board, according to spokesperson Gwen Pepin.
In the works: House Democrats say they’re “continuing to work through the details” with party officials, according to TaQuoya McConnico, executive director of Democrats for the Illinois House. “The investment being requested of DIH is considerably larger than most (all) coordinated table members, and we are already heavily invested in our incumbent races as well as recruited candidates,” she said in a statement to Playbook, adding, “We have a responsibility to ensure any investment of resources aligns with our polling, the realities on the ground, and our House priorities. We remain committed to electing Democrats up and down the ballot; our continuous contributions to DPI, Cook County Dems, and IDCCA reflect that commitment and shared goal.”

I think this line is important:
“The investment being requested of DIH is considerably larger than most (all) coordinated table members,”
I do think the Speaker owes a duty to his members before he begins expending caucus resources to others. I would like to know what the ask was and how it compares to everyone else.

Interesting that Cook County Dems are targeted for support- what about the other counties democratic organizations? Could all this “waiting” have anything to do with concerns regarding the Speaker?

“What about the other counties democratic organizations”
Presumably, that’s why they also referenced contributions to IDCCA
