I think the moves Governor Rauner has made to clean up the mess at Chicago State University are worthy of praise. The Democrats proved they couldn’t or wouldn’t make the necessary changes to rescue an important institution. Rauner is taking the right steps to stop the political patronage/piggy bank politics from ruining a once-proud community anchor. Bravo, and keep it up.
Gov. Rauner’s commitment and leadership, and his thoughtful concern in reforming Criminal Justice in Illinois is something that I have great admiration and respect for in Governor Rauner. I thank him for his commitment.
Rauner attends a lot of school events at home an age when many of us don’t.
Rich- I think you should request all the Illinois politicians to say something nice about the opposite political party. In the same spirit and for the same reason you asked your posters to do so.

Alderman Ameya Pawar supports an elected school board for Chicago Public Schools despite the mayor’s opposition. This admirable because he’s Rahm’s Alderman. I support Alderman Pawar on this issue.
Rod Blagovich helped kids get healthcare and fought hard for it. The kids who got it included the child of an HS classmate who was only able to get an experimental treatment because she was in All-Kids, couldn’t get via traditional insurance.
Mike Madigan knows political strategy as well or better than anyone in this state. He is a very intelligent man who puts great thought into every calculation he makes.
Bruce Rauner stays committed to his beliefs and is unwavering in his stance on issues he truly believes in.

I don’t despise either of them. They carry themselves with dignity and are decent people.
I really appreciate Gov. Rauner requesting the waiver which obtained the exemption from the work requirement for food stamps last year. It went against the grain of his Republican peers. Many people had food because of that. I know it took courage to do the right thing in that instance. I won’t forget that.
Rauner actually sounded like he cared about people accused of minor crimes who couldn’t raise even small amounts for bail. And if I’m not mistaken, he actually did something to fix the problem.
I hate Rauner with everything I have in me. But for the sake of the question, it’s nice he is a dog lover. I felt bad when his dog passed away last year.
Well I did not know he like good beer but that certainly means he at least has something in common with me. How about a big push for the craft brewing in Illinois we can become the beer envy of the the nation.
