* Illinois Review…
Someone’s got a sense of humor about Republicans helping to override Governor Rauner’s budget veto last week. An anonymous person has set up a Facebook page identifying himself as the “Angry Illinoisan.”
One of Angry Illinoisan’s creations is an adaptation of a “Back to the Future” clip. It features Governor Rauner, some of the ten Republicans that betrayed the governor with State Rep. Steve Andersson at the wheel, and several Republican onlookers that chose to stay firm and reject Mike Madigan’s budget.
* The video…
Well, at least we got to see Skillicorn in a dress.

Looks like body man moved to Facebook.
- Wylie Coyote - Tuesday, Jul 18, 17 @ 3:06 pm:
That made my otherwise dreary day!
- Ducky LaMoore - Tuesday, Jul 18, 17 @ 3:18 pm:
Hey McRauner! I have your trashcan van towed all the way to your house and all you got for me is Lite beer. I can’t believe you’d loan me your van without telling me it had a blind spot!
- Deft Wing - Tuesday, Jul 18, 17 @ 3:23 pm:
Classic!
Bourne looked the most natural in the dress followed closely by Olsen. Skillicorn was as awkward as Ives portraying the future Mayor Goldie Wilson!
- Oswego Willy - Tuesday, Jul 18, 17 @ 3:40 pm:
Slytherins are exceptional at seeing compromise as manure…
As for the video?
It’s fun. It reminds me that the Raunerite Party prefers destruction, but to the comedic, it has a value.
- Adam Eaton - Tuesday, Jul 18, 17 @ 3:42 pm:
Ives as Goldie Wilson? nice.
- Anon E Mouse - Tuesday, Jul 18, 17 @ 4:18 pm:
Maybe the next video could be from Harry Potter. And the IPI new kids could use the foam Mike Madigan head as a sorting hat.
- d.p.gumby - Tuesday, Jul 18, 17 @ 4:23 pm:
funny idea…lousy execution.
- Iron - Tuesday, Jul 18, 17 @ 4:45 pm:
Oswego Willy nailed it.
- Bee - Tuesday, Jul 18, 17 @ 6:28 pm:
Rauner is toast. Sorry Oswego Willy, we don’t love Madigan either.
- hisgirlfriday - Tuesday, Jul 18, 17 @ 8:19 pm:
Traitors?
The way Raunerites are reacting to Republicans voting their districts instead of Rauner’s whims to drive this state off a cliff feels just like the way right-wing ideologues in D.C. have handled the Republicans in Congress not going along with Obamacare repeal even as the proposals to do so lack public support or a clear policy objective.

Really? Are there any “anonymous” social media accounts that are critical of Democrats in Illinois in which Rich Miller follows or takes any interest in?
- Baloneymous - Wednesday, Jul 19, 17 @ 9:00 am:
Yes black ivy, and they are called the Illinois Policy Institute. They’re just not so “anonymous” these days.
- Black Ivy - Wednesday, Jul 19, 17 @ 9:15 am:
My point exactly, Baloneymous. The Illinois Policy Institute has been quite transparent about its viewpoints. These “anonymous” social media accounts are unvetted and mean-spirited. Why does Rich Miller insist on giving them a platform? BTW, Baloneymous, your name suits you.
- Baloneymous - Wednesday, Jul 19, 17 @ 9:21 am:
Well if they are former Rauner staff it’s not so shocking that they are “mean spirited”. :/
