* That’s a lot of effort for five bucks…

Perhaps ease up on the espresso and drink this instead?

* Here’s something you don’t see every day: A #TakeAKnee, pro-fairgrounds tweeter…

* Yeah, he’s late (again), but just look at the size of that Downstate Kennedy crowd!…

* Someone who says he’s running for Congress against incumbent Democrat Mike Quigley…

* And he didn’t even win the caucus…

* I wonder what happened in the intervening 12 hours?…

Kennedy is packing them in by the half-dozens…

  2. - PJ - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 12:45 pm:

That tweet doesn’t even come close to encapsulating how terrible Benjamin Wolf is.

He’s an egomaniac who has vastly inflated stories about his “heroic” career overseas and acted in extremely creepy and intimidating ways towards potential voters/volunteers.

If you told him he had to consume an infant on live television to win, he’d ask when to show up.

  3. - 47th Ward - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 12:46 pm:

Wolf needs a heck of a lot more scrutiny. He is an interesting character and someone could write a heck of a story about him. He shares Mark Kirk’s passion for resume embellishment and Anthony Wiener’s creepiness. Is he a Russian sleeper agent? An undercover FBI agent? Is he an intellectual professor or just looking to date college girls?

So many questions and so little solid info about him. I guess we should see if he files any paperwork, but I’m tired of seeing his billboard on Irving Park Road. I assumed it was a prop for one of the Chicago-based TV shows, maybe a political character in Empire or Chicago Fire or something. It’s been up for months. Has he filed any campaign finance disclosures yet?

  4. - Iggy - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 12:47 pm:

JB dedicates a majority of his social media presence to trying to Link Rauner to Trump, and sometimes he flat out doesn’t even mention Rauner. Trump isn’t on the ballot in 18. “The referendum on Trump” special elections were a miserable failure for the dems. So why does JB’s people think they have the golden ticket? will JB run on this (Trump-Rauner) link even in the general? Would love to hear some JB fans rationale to this strategy.

  5. - PJ - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 12:49 pm:

47th - seriously, he scares the heck out of me. I met him and the hairs stand up on the back of your neck like you’re watching the beginning of a horror movie.

  6. - Oswego Willy - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 12:53 pm:

@MCRude666-I ain’t voting for @GovRauner since Mike Madigan has more POWER. And I ain’t voting for no DEMOCRAT like @JBPritzker. Write in candidate…

    - Norseman -

    We gots ourselves a constituency…

    Git the Foggy Bottom Boys

  7. - 47th Ward - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 12:53 pm:

No kidding PJ. It’s a palpable creep factor. The warning bells go off as soon as he makes eye contact.

Note how he tags #Pawar on his Tweet. I guarantee you Pawar wants nothing to do with him.

  8. - Grand Avenue - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 1:02 pm:

    Daiber running mate when?

  9. - ArchPundit - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 1:07 pm:

===So many questions and so little solid info about him.

Besides the creepiness factor which Wolf has in Spades, I’m not sure what positions differentiate him from Quigley.

The pic of him and Condi Rice is an interesting choice for a Democratic candidate. The pic of him in North Africa on his bio page just cracks me up repeatedly.

  10. - Miss Marie - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 1:08 pm:

Out of curiosity, do you think that was the size of the crowd after waiting 2 hours for Kennedy to show up, or do you think the crowd started out that small, too?

  11. - TopHatMonocle - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 1:13 pm:

I agree vigorously with the above comments about how creepy Benjamin Wolf is. If that guy got an ounce of scrutiny the things that would emerge would be incredible. Here’s a sampling for your perusal

Even if you take internet postings with a grain of salt, there is a lot of smoke with this guy.

  12. - ArchPundit - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 1:14 pm:

===So many questions and so little solid info about him.

I have a theory involving that cannabis coffee you linked to….

  13. - We'll See - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 1:17 pm:

I truly feel sorry for Kennedy - he’s the grownup version of the kid who’s parents throw a big birthday bash and nobody comes.

  14. - ArchPundit - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 1:18 pm:

BTW as initials is a bit too close to some guy from Kansas.

  15. - Miss Marie - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 1:30 pm:

==I truly feel sorry for Kennedy - he’s the grownup version of the kid who’s parents throw a big birthday bash and nobody comes.

I don’t feel bad for him. To some degree, candidates need to inspire the crowds to want to come out. And he does have an advantage of a last name that could do that. Maybe if he actually showed up on time..

And the analogy doesn’t quite fit. Kids are innocent. His situation is more of a birthday boy who’s late to his own party and the guests have already started to leave.

  16. - A guy - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 1:46 pm:

Kennedy must be waiting for the breakfast crowd before going in. Anyone check the parking lot?

  17. - Norseman - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 1:47 pm:

    OW - On it boss.

  18. - lake county democrat - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 1:47 pm:

Not sure how many people JB would draw if 1) he didn’t have Madigan’s blessing and 2) didn’t pay them to show up and 3) was 2 hours late.

But Chris - and this is coming from a friend - if you can’t bother to show up reasonably on-time for your own campaign appearances, drop out now.

  19. - TKMH - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 1:52 pm:

The first tweet in this post is proof that Chicago DSAers need to stop listening to Chapo Trap House and do something productive with their lives.

  20. - Anonymous - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 2:55 pm:

Governor Rauner’s biggest fear is coming true. JB is “doing” a real campaign. Biss major disappointment is proving he doesn’t have chops….yet. Kennedy total failure. The lack of respect towards voters is not just an accident but becoming a pattern. Too bad you’re not your cousin joe.
Rauner may have dirt on JB but his money can drown out Rauner’s complete failures where the other 2 wouldn’t be able to draw a distinction.

  21. - dr. reason a, goodwin - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 3:17 pm:

Kennedy must be following the Carol Moseley Braun scheduling system.

  22. - Cheryl44 - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 3:34 pm:

Add me to the list of people creeped out by Wolf.

  23. - BuckinIrish - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 3:36 pm:

Just spent 30 minutes reading about Ben Wolf. That S^*t is hilarious

  24. - FLEA - Tuesday, Sep 26, 17 @ 8:28 pm:

Never heard of this wolf guy. interesting candidate, Is Trump and Rauner backin this guy?

  25. - Shytown - Wednesday, Sep 27, 17 @ 1:02 pm:

This Wolf guy in the 5th is a nut job. Claims all sorts of accomps on his resume that have been disproven. Creepy.
