I think what he did was certainly immoral considering he’s married, arguably unprofessional, but I don’t think he sexually harassed her — it seemed very mutual. He admitted he sent them. It’s totally fair game for the candidates to look and them and, when asked, say that they think he should resign. You can disagree with that, but this isn’t about innocent or guilty. Adjudicating allegations of sexual harassment, assault, or misconduct isn’t up to the court of public opinion (or at least it shouldn’t be). Are the candidates telling us we should disperse Silverstein’s punishment because we’ve heard his awkward voicemail and read some out of context fb message banter?
