But…is the Bears defense overrated? The Bears defense ranks 5th in the NFL in yardage given up (289 yards/game). However, this could be simply because of the teams they’ve played. Bears’ opponents offense average 279 yards per game across all their games - so they gain a bit more vs the Bears than they do when facing other teams.
