When I saw the “I got nothing,” I thought it was a Rauner quote of the day.

  2. - NoGifts - Friday, Sep 28, 18 @ 3:02 pm:

What about Elon Musk’s tunnel to O’Hare Airport? Will the mayor want his name attached to this project for perpetuity?

  3. - Oswego Willy - Friday, Sep 28, 18 @ 3:03 pm:

    Weird 7-10 days.

The political air in Illinois is being sucked between Chicago Mayor and Governor… now the Cavanaugh hearing(s)/process…

What is a shame right now is the real possibility to have open discussions, important policy/political discussions are being overtaken.

    Why did I write this?

As everything is happening, and seemingly overwhelming, the long term things like governing continue, and will continue… so…

Look at Oscar, like Rich offered yesterday

Me? I have the Cubs and Ryder Cup, thanks.

People you “disagree” with, they may like dogs, or baseball or craft beer… or whatever.

It’s Friday, it’s overwhelming, A Little Nonsense Now and Then is Relished by the Wisest Men.

    Be well, all.

I had New York style pizza for the first time this week.

It was no Aurelio’s, but it was alright.

The Bears are more interesting to watch than they have been in a long, long time. Kahlil Mack is the real deal. If they can beat the Florida teams over the next three weeks they have a chance to go deep into the playoffs.

  6. - Keyrock - Friday, Sep 28, 18 @ 3:16 pm:

You could give us another Oscar pic. It’s been a whole day.

  7. - No Longer A Lurker - Friday, Sep 28, 18 @ 3:38 pm:

Oscar pic? I think we could use a video of Oscar doing his favorite tricks.

  8. - Angry Republican - Friday, Sep 28, 18 @ 3:45 pm:

    Cubs 5 Cards 2 top of 8th.

    ===What about Elon Musk’s tunnel to O’Hare Airport?===

If it happens, no skin off of the city’s nose and one more transportation option among many. If it doesn’t happen, I predict the sun will still rise in the east.
    t happen

Supposed to get down to 37 tonight. I may take this back in February, but I’m so glad Illinois is a state with four seasons. I was visiting a friend in California once. When we’d go out in the morning I would say “gosh, it’s a nice day today.” He would say, “it’s always a nice day here in San Diego.” We’d go out the next morning, I’d forget and say, “gosh, it’s a nice day today.” Repeat.

  11. - Robert the Bruce - Friday, Sep 28, 18 @ 3:50 pm:

Mack sure is fun to watch.

    But…is the Bears defense overrated?

The Bears defense ranks 5th in the NFL in yardage given up (289 yards/game).

However, this could be simply because of the teams they’ve played. Bears’ opponents offense average 279 yards per game across all their games - so they gain a bit more vs the Bears than they do when facing other teams.

This week’s opponent, Tampa Bay, averages a league leading 473 yards per game.

    Sez you.

Read where the Dutch are growing meat from stem cells. That could knock Illinois agriculture to its knees.

  14. - JoanP - Friday, Sep 28, 18 @ 3:59 pm:

They finished the road work on Lake Shore Drive a week early. A miracle (exclamation point).

  15. - wordslinger - Friday, Sep 28, 18 @ 4:01 pm:

Cards defense really doing them in, again. That is so out of character with their history.

  16. - Arthur Andersen - Friday, Sep 28, 18 @ 4:02 pm:

In good news, we’re assured the Illini won’t lose tomorrow.

    Bye week.

  17. - Huh? - Friday, Sep 28, 18 @ 4:07 pm:

Voted early with wife. Both of us voted straight Democrat.
