I hope they all have clean underwear. This looks like way more than they can manage in the next 8.5 hours.

  2. - Hynes Guy - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 3:35 pm:

We need Sweepstakes to be included in Gaming Bill to help pay for vertical construction. Period.

  3. - 62656 - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 3:36 pm:

$40,268,000,000 leaves me concerned how this will affect bill backlog.

  4. - Token Conservative - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 3:39 pm:

Gonna be a long night, campers.

  5. - Pelonski - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 3:40 pm:

It looks like the budget includes back pay for AFSCME.

  6. - 62656 - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 3:41 pm:

So $200 million in paying down the backlog & $1.2 billion in new bond debt to reduce backlog?

  7. - Honeybear - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 3:42 pm:

I wonder if they will do all the big budget and capital stuff over the weekend
    to force republican votes
    Thus forcing bipartisanship…or not
forced rollcall vote so to speak
since it goes to different voting tomorrow.
    Is this a good theory?

    So RHA, anti-harassment, gaming today/tonight
    the rest
    Saturday and Sunday
Thus if they don’t get it
    it’s the republicans fault.
OW, Word, RNUG, is that it?

  8. - Try-4-Truth - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 3:49 pm:

    Thank you Mr. Miller.

  9. - anon2 - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 3:55 pm:

Looks like that gaming bill will be another huge increase in casino gambling, and not just in casinos. The video poker law under Quinn paved the way.

  10. - Langhorne - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 4:02 pm:

    2hr floor time X 2 chambers X 10 bills = 40 hrs.
    W/a hangover.

  11. - Alex - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 4:03 pm:

The link for SB690 lead to “PTELL-QUALIFIED SCHOOL DIST” instead of the casino bill

  12. - DuPage Saint - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 4:11 pm:

Why not just stop clock? Didn’t they do that for White Sox’s?

  13. - Amalia - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 4:16 pm:

    aren’t you nice posting a list…..

  14. - Occasional Quipper - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 4:21 pm:

Alex, those links take you to the bill status page for the bill. When they do a gut and replace amendment the short description never changes and ends up unrelated to the latest amended version, which appears to be House Amendment 2.

  15. - Alex - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 4:24 pm:

Thanks Quipper, I’m new to this

  16. - 360 Degree TurnAround - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 4:31 pm:

Most of those are senate bills…and the senate hasn’t scheduled session for tomorrow. hmm.

  17. - Occasional Quipper - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 4:34 pm:

You’re welcome Alex. If you click on the link and then click on “Full Text” you can see links for all of the amendments for that bill. If you click one of these links and it says “The full text of the file is too large…” then just click on the “click here” link to see the text in another window.

  18. - 62656 - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 4:39 pm:

The budget negotiations have apparently hit a snag. I thought crossing the line into $40 billion seemed a bit high.

  19. - Mary Jane - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 4:42 pm:

    What about fixin’ the FOID?

  20. - Ron Burgundy - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 4:42 pm:

This many huge bills pending on the last day of May? This is more than some Republicans running their mouths. There’s been some (to quote Bull Durham) lollygagging going on.

  21. - Donnie Elgin - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 4:54 pm:

    What about fixin’ the FOID?

That is amendment 1 SB1966 - Waiting to be called in Senate for concurrence vote

  22. - The Bashful Raconteur - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 6:35 pm:

A lot of chain jerking going on to Durkin and his caucus. Tough work being in the super minority.

  23. - FFS - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 7:04 pm:

    ==What about fixin’ the FOID?==

Still in committee, and I assume that’s where it’s staying.

  24. - STLBOY - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 8:21 pm:

Is SB690 tied to revenue for universities AND Gaming? It’s listed twice. Just making sure as a novice watcher.

  25. - Token Conservative - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 8:26 pm:

–Gonna be a long night, campers.–

Gonna be a long weekend, campers.

  26. - Capital Guy - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 8:44 pm:

STLBOY, I believe it’s just specifying that gaming IS the revenue for the ‘vertical’ capital bill.

  27. - :) - Friday, May 31, 19 @ 10:10 pm:

Rich, could we possibly get an updated “cheat,” or score, sheet as of the House budget passage?
