Where has Wordslinger been. Havent been called a troll in awhile. Font let him know, but i miss the little guy.

  2. - Grand Avenue - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 1:25 pm:

Any one in the Governor’s Office - City Hall/County Building has a Pride flag but the Thompson Center doesn’t.

If the State Capitol has one, y’all should fly one at outside the Thompson Center

  3. - Honeybear - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 1:32 pm:

Blue Dog Dem have your farmers been able to get anything in the ground?

  4. - Rutro - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 1:35 pm:

    Sox take two in Wrigley.

  5. - Grandson of Man - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 1:45 pm:

Hoping we’ll know soon when Pritzker will sign the marijuana legalization bill. It’s been only a couple of weeks but it seems like forever, darlings.

  6. - Amalia - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 1:46 pm:

oh, Rutro, just when I stopped thinking about the worst days of the year…Sox at Wrigley. One can hope, but I’m always nervous until they get a hit. memories of that ninth inning no no break up vs. Cubs just too searing.

  7. - Despite the odds - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 1:47 pm:

Honest take on what’s been going on with LG Stratton. Her staff has dropped the ball. I met with and like the new initiative director and the PR people have been good at sharing insights behind the scenes. But time for less outside work. Correct the ship.

  8. - Anon 88 - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 1:57 pm:

Anyone have any idea if the Teamsters are close to making a deal with JB? After the AFSCME contract there’s a glimmer of hope to all of us stuck at the same salary since 2011.

  9. - Blue Dog Dem - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 2:08 pm:

Honey. Hill ground in. Aome river bottoms in. Seep water near levees lots of water.

  10. - @misterjayem - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 2:20 pm:

Any word on who might be replacing Megadeth at the Illinois State Fair?

    – MrJM

  11. - TheInvisibleMan - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 2:26 pm:

Heard the Oswego area had some interesting happenings on the Kendall County Republican parade float.

Looks like we have our own “eastern Bloc” out in the far western burbs.

  12. - MC Q - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 2:36 pm:

With all of this information of AFSCME contract ratifications, does anyone know if MC employees will be left in the dark? Again? I’ve seen a few people ask that question in a previous thread with no answers.

  13. - The Magnificent Purple Walnut - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 2:48 pm:

I do not pretend to be The Wordslinger. But, hey, Blue Dog… You’re a troll. Just trying to make you feel better.

  14. - A State Employee Guy - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 2:52 pm:

If the Sox take two at Wrigley I will never comment here again.

  15. - Blue Dog Dem - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 2:58 pm:

    Purple. Thanks. I needed that.

  16. - Anonymous - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 2:58 pm:

lets go sox … nothing against “A State Employee Guy” just don’t like the cubs

  17. - OneMan - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 2:59 pm:

The Oswego stuff seems to have happened in the staging area, the Dems were closer to the front of the parade than the GOP.

Was in front of both groups this year in the parade and spoek with Rep Underwood breifly afterward and she at least created the impression she was interested in what I wanted to speak to her about.

Disapointed she had to deal with what happended but I can’t say I am shocked.

    Ultradeth or Regulardeth

  22. - Colin Robinson - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 3:19 pm:

Any guesses on when the union backpay will be paid? Last we heard was all principal to be paid sometime before September 30 and that CMS was supposed to issue guidance to the agencies this week. Wondering if it’ll be much sooner than September 30.

  23. - Blue Dog Dem - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 3:28 pm:

With JB signing into law the RHA, how soon before Illinois legalizes prostitution?

  24. - Cubs in '16 - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 3:29 pm:

Cubs are coming home with blood in their eyes after a tough road trip. The Sox are gonna get spanked.

This is the lamest excuse, how does his dairy business present a conflict of interest?

  28. - Da Big Bad Wolf - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 4:05 pm:

==With JB signing into law the RHA, how soon before Illinois legalizes prostitution?==
I’m guessing an aeon. Why? You in a hurry?

  29. - Bourbon Street - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 4:05 pm:

Oberweis: “[Rich Miller] hates conservatives as I’m sure you know.”

When people engage in ad hominem attacks they’ve lost the argument.

  30. - Bourbon Street - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 4:21 pm:

@Blue Dog Dem: I’m trying to follow your logic here but it’s difficult. Are you saying that women are now lining up to become prostitutes because their reproductive rights are protected? Or that anti-abortion laws save women from becoming prostitutes?

  31. - Sheridan Road - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 4:24 pm:

Rep. Kalish draws a primary challenge from a young latina, school board member named jill manrique after voting present on RHA. Tough election ahead in 16th district.

  34. - 17% Solution - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 5:36 pm:

==Oberweis: “[Rich Miller] hates conservatives as I’m sure you know.”==

That’s hysterical. I thought Rich Miller was conservative.

  35. - Al - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 6:22 pm:

What is going on with Sam McCann? How is he doing?

  36. - Old Illini - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 7:11 pm:

==I thought Rich Miller was conservative.==

Though I hate to judge before the facts are in, it looks like Rich Miller might not be conservative.

  37. - schadenfreude check - Tuesday, Jun 18, 19 @ 8:13 pm:

Curious if “JT” John Terranova is still working at CMS and if he’s got any more messages for the worker bees.

  38. - Blue Dog Dem - Wednesday, Jun 19, 19 @ 7:53 am:

Anyone see that Washington Post article on teen pot use in Colorado. Hope this doesnt get us in a bad place.

===After the AFSCME contract there’s a glimmer of hope to all of us stuck at the same salary since 2011.===

The Teamsters bargained to be stuck at the same salary under Rauner.

==Anyone see that Washington Post article on teen pot use in Colorado. Hope this doesnt get us in a bad place.==

Good thing legal pot sellers can’t sell to teenagers.
