Robert is going to be a star. Yoan and Eloy look great at the plate, but their defense is questionable. Abreu is Abreu. I hope Rodon and Lopez are okay (nothing longterm). Dallas and Gio are a great 1 & 2. Also, that bullpen is solid. Super excited for this season. I hope everyone stays healthy and sticks to the preventative suggestions by MLB.
If Robert keeps getting on base like he is, Tim Anderson is going to have to find somewhere else to hit in the lineup. Sad to see Rodon go down again. But I am looking forward to seeing Dunning and Flores. And Detweiller needs to stay in the bullpen. Sans the doubleheader, this has been a really fun season so far.
Maybe for the fans, Shoeless Joe should invite Ty Cobb and a bunch of other players. Last time they didn’t invite Cobb because they could stand the …. when he was alive so they told him to…
I think the NHL is showing that Baseball probably should have done the Arizona bubble plan. This is going to be set up as one of the rare years that we finally have 2 good teams… and will get cancelled.
Aaron Judge homered five games in a row, first since ARod in 2007 and the 10th Yankee overall. The Bambino in 1921 and Iron Horse in 1931 were the first two Yankees to do it, Donnie Baseball in 1987 has one of the all-time record with home runs in eight consecutive games.
Still blowing my mind that Joe Kelly got suspended for throwing at the Astros, but no Astros players were suspended for the worst cheating scandal in a generation
—–I do not understand why he is still on the staff—–
The only reason i can think of is either it’s Ken Williams or Reinsdorf’s order. I know it seems far fetched to think Jerry Reinsdorf would get involved in on field matters but as we have seen countless times on the White Sox and Bulls, Reinsdorf can be loyal to a fault.

worried about the arms of the Sox. but wow, did the captain…Abreu is really that…come up big last night. and then YoYo. and Robert is positively amazing in all aspects of his game. loved the Jason/Stoney discussion a couple games back where they described how Robert adjusts not just from bat to bat but from pitch to pitch.
I do not understand why he is still on the staff.==
Lol, Reinsdorf hasn’t even fired Jim Boylen yet - a man who is widely known to be the worst head coach in the entire NBA. Cooper will be the Sox pitching coach until he dies.
Early returns make it clear that irrespective of covid issues, all teams and players are looking at more injuries than seem normal for the start of a season. I would be concerned if I were a pitcher in particular. The disruption in preparation and routine this year seems to be taking a toll. Would not be surprised to see a spate of opt outs going forward due to this as well as covid.

They called up Lail instead of Dunning or Flores? Okay then. I hope this is for emergency only, or they give him one start and send him back to Schaumburg.

Depending on the length of this season, the Sox may not lose another game.

Last night was a very satisfying Sox win - even with breaks going against them, they still found a way to win the game.

Sadly in a year where both Chicago teams show the potential for making the playoffs, I fear that the season will end abruptly.

They’ve already lost twice as many as the Northsiders. Not exactly channeling Bill Veeck there.

Nothing.
The Astros got to keep their World Series, no honest sanctions or a stripping of the title.
This season might not make it to August 16th.
