Saw that Ray LaHood was on the former Congressional Republicans for Biden endorsees list. Unfortunately this will probably lead to Darin taking even more extreme rightwing votes and positions to try to distance himself from his dad among GOP primary voters even though his dad’s name is the only reason he is in the position he is in.

I would have loved a sweep. But, as Meatloaf said in 1977, “Two out of Three Ain’t Bad”.
There was the glimmer of hope for a Sox sweep yesterday, with the bases loaded in the top of the ninth. But it was a great series of explosive hitting.
Whoever at Hefty got their ad placed in left center field deserves a hefty raise since most of the White Sox eleventy-seven home runs this weekend went right over it.
I generally don’t watch this series due to its negative effect upon my blood pressure. But once the Sox went up two games, I figured it was safe to turn on game three. I blame myself for the failure to sweep. Abreu MVP!
The South Side Hit Men enjoyed spending time at Wrigley. It was like watching batting practice. Wow. Tip my cap to the Sox. They brought some serious lumber to this series.

I remember some people were carping about extending Abreu to three years. Looking pretty smart now, especially given the praise Robert heaps on him.
Astute observation. Ray is a product of the Bob Michael era of Congress, when people acted like ladies and gentlemen and actually compromised to get something done.
But lately I’m wondering if GOP bigshots are planning a coup if Trump gets re-elected, invoking the 25th Amendment or some other trick to get him removed. I think they’re as tired of him as the Democrats are.
Darin LaHood and other GOP candidates aren’t willing to risk Trump’s tweets by coming out against him pre-election. Adam Kinzinger is another one walking that tightrope.
Watching Eloy Jimenez play the game reminds me of what it is all about.
Jose Abreu’s 6 (SIX) dingers doesn’t hurt either.

Sox brought the wood, no doubt. I’m pretty sure the cubs would’ve lost the first had the sox just fielded pitchers and Abreu. Pretty amazing display by that gentleman.

Sadly, early mention of a broom can lead to disappointment,

Sox put Keuchel, Lopez and Cease up against Lester, Hendricks and Darvish and win the series 2-1. I’ll take that. also, amazing, Jose Abreu.

I thought we’d get that needed hit in the 8th or 9th but I’m still feeling good on this hot day wearing a white Sox shirt hat and jacket.

Apologies for using banned punctuation in my advocacy for Abreu… didn’t realize I did that.

What did the Ricketts family do to Abreu for him to treat them so badly?
