So the facebook group for our local SD about getting kids back in school 5 days a week (quite the fun read) is talking about some SD in Kane County that has had a filing for a recall on part of the School Board.
1) What happened to summer?? 80-85 yesterday near Chicago; this morning, same shorts and polo…BRRRR. like 40’s, Scooby.
2) National Superhero Day? I’ve always wanted to be…DAHN, DAHN, DAAAHHH!! Captain Chaos (banned punct.) In Illinois it would have to be “Captain Corruption”, of course.
3) Loretto Hospital needs a criminal investigation; bet there’s Medicaid and Medicare fraud in the mix.
That’d by my home district, St. Charles 303. They submitted the recall the day before the election where two people subject to recall were reelected. Very confusing. Kane Cty. SA is reviewing the petition. I presume it will go nowhere since Barickman’s bill went nowhere last session and none of the D303 Board members are the sitting Governor.
NPR had an interesting and sad story about States taking social security money from kids in foster care and they do not need to notify the kids or anyone else. It said 36 states do this, so I was trying to find out if Illinois DCFS does it but I am striking out in my searches. Can anyone provide more info?
It’s becoming apparent that the IL Dept of Public Health and the Sangamon County Public Health Departments aren’t talking to each other or they aren’t keeping good records. We’ve had both shots of Moderna at Sangamon DPH and are weeks past full effect. Just had a call from IDPH about wanting to give us help on making appointments to get Covid shots.
If they can make that big a mistake, how do we know if ANY of their vaccination data is accurate?

POLITICO Illinois Playbook: NEW CAUCUS MAKES A SPLASH –
Unless it is a caucus about turning the Thompson Center into a water park I don’t want to hear to Politico.

Decisions, Decisions. Should I have a plant-based beer, or shake everything up with a plant-based wine? Hey, it’s 5 o’clock somewhere…

Rodney Davis’ old fundraiser is trying to raise some funds from Davis. I guess the PPE business that drew 60 minutes attention is drying up.

The whole state needs rain. Farmers planting a crop right now could use an inch to an inch and half. Just so it doesn’t come down in a hour…

I got a good laugh at Welch’s spokesperson trying to claim (presumably with a straight face) he has a precinct organization.
