Wishing Justin Fields success, but I’m worried that he going to get plowed under due to the porous offensive line…

  2. - Al - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 7:38 am:

Ascend Cannabis extended their reach with a third Springfield west side location. Three shops for one company. Lines out the door for black market prices. Open up the market.

When I see the lines out the Cannabis shops for a $166 six gram container I wonder how much the street people would pay for a 200 ml bottle of Canadian Whiskey which retails for $3.99? I imagine they would pay $9.99.

  3. - Just Me 2 - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 7:57 am:

My gym started to let people use the locker room again to store our belongings and change clothes. It is sort of life changing.

  4. - Stones - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 8:04 am:

A bold move by the Bears to jump up to 11 to pick Justin Fields. Even though Ryan Pace’ last jump to pick a QB ended up as a disappointment this one feels right. Hoping the Bears have enough other pieces to be competitive.

  5. - Give Me A Break - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 8:40 am:

For those of us in central Illinois, going to be a warm sunny weekend.

Fire up those tillers fill those planters with potting soil and flowers and get those tomato, peppers and egg plants in the ground and that sweet corn and lima beans sowed, it’s Go time.

    Fun new website

the word of the day is… incompetence

as in, gross incompetence led to the death of 36 american heroes.

  8. - H-W - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 9:42 am:

    @Kittycakes

    What are you referring to?

  9. - H-W - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 9:46 am:

Nevermind. I see the new story Rich just posted.

  10. - Amalia - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 9:50 am:

White Sox pitching yesterday was really good.

  11. - Gohawks123 - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 9:50 am:

How about the sox? another doubleheader winner, and YoYo is heating up

  12. - Friendly Bob Adams - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 9:53 am:

They should arrange for all the Sox games to be double headers.

  13. - Grandson of Man - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 10:09 am:

Great day for the Sox yesterday. Didn’t watch the games, but in highlights Cease had the hook working. Eloy who? Just kidding about Eloy (wishing him a speedy and full recovery), but we’re riding in style in a Mercedes.

  14. - hisgirlfriday - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 10:20 am:

What are the little things you see that tell you people’s attitudes about COVID near you have drastically changed since vaccines became widely available? The latest thing for me is all the garage sales. Feels like people are going nuts with them this spring.

  15. - JoanP - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 10:21 am:

    = Fun new website =

    Fun, yes. New, no: https://chicago.curbed.com/2019/7/25/8930152/chicago-alderman-indictment-city-bureau

  16. - Amalia - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 10:53 am:

hasmyaldermanbeenindicted should expand to stupidthingsmyaldermanhassaid. just because they have not been indicted does not mean they are fantastic. low bar.

  17. - Gantt Chart - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 11:07 am:

How about that new $80.5 million dollar Central Computing Facility announcement for a Springfield location? All while CDB is finishing up a $16 million dollar renovation of the existing Central Computing Facility on Adams Street which they plan on abandoning.

  18. - Steve Polite - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 11:53 am:

    Al - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 7:38 am:

The third dispensary in the Springfield area is not an Ascend dispensary. It is owned by Maribis LLC. They also own the dispensary in Grandview.

    Respectfully,
    Steve

  19. - Ed Equity - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 12:17 pm:

Just donated to Aaron’s mom’s funeral costs. The family is in my prayers. Hope we all can chip in.

  20. - Highland IL - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 1:02 pm:

There is mini civil war going on within the Madison County GOP. The Trump wing is ganging up on their Treasurer. He’s a RINO according to them.

  21. - thisjustinagain - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 1:35 pm:

First Pfizer vaccine shot today! Take that, Covid (banned punct.)

  22. - 32nd Ward Roscoe Village - Friday, Apr 30, 21 @ 1:44 pm:

It’s almost up to $10,000 raised. Lots of love.
