JUST IN: During a hearing in the bribery case involving members of Michael Madigan's inner circle, a defense attorney says prosecutors have suggested they might seek a superseding indictment (which could add defendants). Prosecutors say they're "not in a position to discuss" it. pic.twitter.com/GHSxCTOj2J
AUSA Sarah Streicker declined to show her cards regarding a potential superseding indictment, saying it could be discussed at the next status in August. Judge Leinenweber also pushed for more info, telling her to pass on that "it would certainly be very helpful" to know more.
Cranking up the pressure on someone to make a deal, while they can,

Interesting. The govt may also file a superseding indictment to add additional charges against the current named defendants, e.g. if the USAO has new evidence of additional misconduct and wants to add additional pressure on a defendant to take a plea and testify, then the USAO may file a superseding indictment.
Hopefully this all comes to a crescendo during the midterms when Democrats are campaigning as being the party that restored good government, decency and ethics
Is that Jay Doherty from the City Club of Chicago? If Michael Monico is on scene, there must be trouble ahead.
Even though Monico was Eddie Vrdolyak’s mouthpiece, Vrdolyak still spent time in the can.

Former Speaker Madigan is the additional person to be charged as this Indictment is superseded The feds already have more than enough leverage against the current defendants and additional charges won’t add much of anything to potential sentencing ranges. Jay Doherty is cooperator I think

They forced Madigan out. What did Republicans do with Trump, including the ILGOP’s stance on impeachment?

Ya know when the cops and the DA in films are sweating out folks and they say, like clockwork, “we got the whole bunch of ya”? Trying as this defendant and these defendants are to finding out, they’d be better at getting the seat on the bus… the bus that eventually will run over everyone, including those who may be hit with the superseding indictments

Many times when you see Mike Monico’s name involved in a high profile federal case , a deal is going to be cut. Often times he doesn’t go to trial.
=51 House Democrats voted to retain Public Official A as Speaker two months after these indictments.=
Do you really think that this is going to overshadow a GOP that continues to act in lockstep with a President who undermined democracy and incited a riot? Or do you just not care?
I beg the IL-GOP to recognize Lucky’s obvious strategic genius and run on an anti-Madigan platform yet again.

Democrats ousted someone not engaged in sedition and with no criminal charges. Can the ILGQP say the same or is there no comment currently as the fishing expedition in Macoupin County to pacify dear leader keeping all of you busy?
