* Facebook…

But by the looks of this pic taken late yesterday morning, that event might have already happened at the Statehouse…

* What’s on your mind today?

It does feel a little post-apocalyptic.

  2. - Give Me A Break - Friday, May 21, 21 @ 8:41 am:

This morning is one of those amazing mornings where you just don’t want to go inside.

Sun is out, temps already climbing, birds are happy and the wind and and sun are drying things out. In other words, this is God’s way of apologizing for Mother’s Day.

  3. - BTO2 - Friday, May 21, 21 @ 8:47 am:

My daughter just told me, a friend and her family went to a Candace Owen rally, might be running for President as Republican. I’d never heard of this person.

=I’d never heard of this person. =

She’s a grifter who’s willing to sing any partisan political song for money and attention. In other words, the ideal candidate for the current GOP.

“Sun is out, temps already climbing”

Listening to a great old tune this morning, that really goes well with the weather and is appropriately named for the early warmth: Summer, by War. The lyrics are dated, talking about 8 tracks and CB’s, but it’s a lovely tune, a classic.

I’m sure that Rodney expected this. Loyalty must be unwavering. It’s still not a nice way to treat your former state chairman particularly when he voted against your impeachment twice.

    - Wildcat12 -

Thank you, I had a good laugh.

Same family believes the 01/06/21 insurrection was a peaceful protest.

==She’s a grifter who’s willing to sing any partisan political song for money and attention==

lol. That describes pretty much any politician/nacent politician in America today.

  9. - Dysfunction Junction - Friday, May 21, 21 @ 9:10 am:

==I’m sure that Rodney expected this.==

    He’s… running?

  10. - Oswego Willy - Friday, May 21, 21 @ 9:29 am:

=== That describes pretty much any politician/nacent politician in America today.===

Not many are spreading conspiracy theories, trying to undermine democracy and see the insurrection as “nothing”

    But… you already know that.

  11. - Glengarry - Friday, May 21, 21 @ 9:31 am:

It’s been 10 years since we lost Macho Man Randy Savage to the Rapture Draft.

    “What’s on your mind today?”

    Today is Mr.T’s 69th birthday.

I pity the fool who doesn’t celebrate responsibly.

It is also National Talk Like Yoda day. Isn’t that every day in the GA?

I was raised Baptist and I don’t remember anyone ever mentioning Rapture Parties. I thought we weren’t supposed to know when it was going to happen. How do you plan a party for that?

  16. - cermak_rd - Friday, May 21, 21 @ 10:17 am:

The dw.com has an article on tempting the vaccine hesitant to get vaccinated. They use the word Impfmuffel. Impf means vaccine and looking up Muffel (der Muffel, die Muffel) it means grump. So tempting vaccine grumps to get vaccinated. It’s a great article over what different countries are doing. If you live in Transylvania you can totally get jabbed at Dracula’s castle. But I love the idea of the vaccine grouch!

  17. - HangingOn - Friday, May 21, 21 @ 10:26 am:

I’ve always had the urge to go around town at like 3am when all are asleep and leave pairs of shoes around so people think the Rapture happened and they weren’t taken.

And then you’re in the man from Mars
You go out at night eatin’ cars
    You eat Cadillacs, Lincolns too
    Mercurys and Subaru.

Looks like the Tribune sale to Alden went through. My condolences to everyone who works there except John Kass.

  21. - thisjustinagain - Friday, May 21, 21 @ 12:07 pm:

2nd Covid shot today at South Suburban College. Nobody there, as in no check-in line, no wait time, took longer to wait after the shot. Now if they can get the numbers of vaxxed way up in the South Suburbs, that’d be great. According to CCDPH, total completed vax at 15.4% Riverdale, 17.6% Harvey, 23.7% for Dolton, 33.5% South Holland, 26.8 Calumet Park.

  22. - DownSouth - Friday, May 21, 21 @ 12:31 pm:

~ Furiously checking Bailey’s social media and my email - surely I’ve missed his Rapture Party invite….~

  23. - DuPage Dem - Friday, May 21, 21 @ 1:26 pm:

I’m looking forward to a beautiful weekend and some down time and that’s consuming my thoughts this Friday!

  24. - RNUG - Friday, May 21, 21 @ 4:45 pm:

== I’d never heard of this person. ==

Black, female, conservative or right wing (or possibly Tea Party) depending on your political viewpoint, pundit, political commentator, again, depending on your world view. Not quite the usual expected face of the GOP.
