May this session ending be productive and bring forth good inflation relief and crime bills. Make it happen, GA.

You had me at Kurt Vile. His new album is terrific. If you like him, try War on Drugs. Good stuff.

Jim Reilly truly was one of the giants behind the scenes in Illinois politics. I remember meeting Jim Reilly during the first Thompson campaign, along with Thompson’s driver Greg Baise. Now that was a powerful triad

Reilly has been the impetus behind many of the good things government can do. He was the perfect guy for both Thompson and Edgar - he accomplished much but rarely grabbed the spotlight. Another great guy from Jacksonville.

House Republicans refused to recommit to Title 9 this afternoon. Can’t imagine why they’re losing traction with suburbs and women!

Title IX states: No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance
In 2020, if the mere IDEA of Title IX existing is bad, let alone others not committed to Title IX, not as an end all, NO, committing to Title IX as a beginning, what exactly are you going to advocate for in equality for all?
Is this the party of making sure we (the party) are on the wrong side of history in perpetuity?
