Rate the new Mary Miller TV ad

* Press release…

Conservative Congresswoman Mary Miller released a new television advertisement today titled “Red Flag Rodney Davis,” which contrasts Miller’s record of support for the Second Amendment with RINO Rodney Davis’ record supporting federal gun confiscation for years.

“I am honored to have President Trump’s endorsement and a perfect A rating from the National Rifle Association and Gun Owners of America,” said Miller, who is a member of the House Second Amendment Caucus and the House Freedom Caucus. “My opponent, RINO Rodney Davis, was rated lower because he supported gun confiscation for years and even bragged about working with Nancy Pelosi to try and get his gun control legislation passed by the House. As a Constitutional conservative and defender of the Second Amendment, I will always oppose the Biden-Pelosi gun confiscation agenda.”

Mary Miller received a perfect “A” rating from the National Rifle Association for her record of support for the Second Amendment, after also receiving an “A” rating from Gun Owners of America.

Miller’s opponent, RINO Rodney Davis, was rated lower because he has been the key Republican sponsor of red-flag gun confiscation for the past three years. In 2019, RINO Rodney Davis said he was trying to work with Nancy Pelosi to pass a red-flag gun confiscation bill to “take some Americans’ guns away.” See for yourself below:

* The ad

* Script

Voiceover: RINO Rodney Davis claims to be a conservative, but he votes like a liberal. Rodney Davis sided with Joe Biden voting for red flag gun confiscation that allows the government to seize your guns.

Davis: That’s why the Red Flag Law is so important and should be put on the court.

Voiceover: That’s why President Trump endorsed Mary Miller for Congress. Mary is A-rated by the NRA. Unlike Rodney Davis, Trump is with Miller because RINO Rodney Davis can’t be trusted.

Miller (No relation): I am Mary Miller and I approve this message.

* Meanwhile, from Rodney Davis…

Mary Miller is using the Biden Basement Strategy to avoid scrutiny of her campaign, her record in Congress, and her personal financial history, and local reporters are starting to speak out about it.

“For someone who says they’re a ‘fighter,’ Mary Miller sure is afraid to face local reporters and answer questions about her record. You can’t stand up for your values and advocate for your constituents when you’re afraid of scrutiny. It’s time for Miller to stop using the Biden Basement Strategy and start answering questions. Voters deserve to know why a child sex predator is working on her campaign, why her business is incorporated in Delaware, why she’s been chronically fined for not paying taxes, if she’ll move into the 15th District, and so much more. If Miller refuses to answer questions, she isn’t fit to serve.” - Davis campaign spokesperson Aaron DeGroot

    Nice to see flat Rodney going after someone because they won’t talk to constituents. (former constituent)

  2. - illini - Tuesday, Jun 7, 22 @ 3:02 pm:

    So what is the real difference between Mary’s A rating from the “reputable” NRA and Rodney’s A-. Seems like Mary is desperately trying to fool her constituents once again.

  3. - Colin O'Scopy - Tuesday, Jun 7, 22 @ 3:05 pm:

    I am embarrassed to be from the same state as Mary Miller.

  4. - Norseman - Tuesday, Jun 7, 22 @ 3:06 pm:

    When you get so far from reality, you have to get an F.

    In fact, both of these candidates are in la la land. For those folks who feel they can’t vote Dem, they need an option for “None of the Above”.

  5. - JS Mill - Tuesday, Jun 7, 22 @ 3:13 pm:

    Funding EMT and police. That is a laugh, our EMT/Rescue Squads are rolling in funds. Same with police.

    The citizens of Petersburgh sure have a lot to be afraid of. /s

  6. - JS Mill - Tuesday, Jun 7, 22 @ 3:14 pm:

    Sorry…I give the ad an F.

  7. - Ron Burgundy - Tuesday, Jun 7, 22 @ 3:16 pm:

    F. Name calling? Check.

    Attacking an opponent, who has seen friends and colleagues shot, for daring to be reasonable on a bare minimum gun restriction? Check.

    Falsely using the same old “they’re coming for your guns” schtick when they sure haven’t yet? Check.

  8. - ChicagoAli - Tuesday, Jun 7, 22 @ 3:19 pm:

    Coming out against red flag laws on the heels of another mass shooting in a school? Mary can’t read the room….

  9. - AlfondoGonz - Tuesday, Jun 7, 22 @ 3:21 pm:

    Zero Hitler quotes. Gotta give her some credit for that.

    We’re grading on a curve, right?

  10. - Flying Elvis'-Utah Chapter - Tuesday, Jun 7, 22 @ 3:24 pm:

    I’m in my mid fifties and have heard that “coming for your guns” paranoia my entire life.

    I also own more guns now than 30 years ago.

  11. - CubsFan16 - Tuesday, Jun 7, 22 @ 3:24 pm:

    The ad gets an “F” in the real world. In the crazy world of far-right nonsense, it gets an A - RINO, gun control, Liz Cheney, Trump, NRA, all in one ad. Lol.

  12. - Manchester - Tuesday, Jun 7, 22 @ 3:34 pm:

    So, Mary Miller understands that it’s hard for Americans to understand the truth during election season. Would that be because our politicians lie to us repeatedly and without impunity? Would that be the truth as Mary Miller sees it or the truth as in actual facts? I give the ad an F.

  13. - Demoralized - Tuesday, Jun 7, 22 @ 4:14 pm:

    ==I understand it’s hard for Americans to understand the truth ==

    Maybe it’s because goofballs like you have been lying to them for the last two years about an election.

  14. - KSDinCU - Tuesday, Jun 7, 22 @ 6:03 pm:

    What is “The Pentagraph”? (Source of the August 2019 quote about Davis and Biden)

  15. - Candy Dogood - Tuesday, Jun 7, 22 @ 6:18 pm:

    If there’s one thing Mary Miller makes really clear is that once you get elected to congress one must have access to the best skin care routines, stylists, and beauticians.

    Takes a lot of skill to cover up all of that hate.

  16. - Candy Dogood - Tuesday, Jun 7, 22 @ 6:27 pm:

    Forgive me, I got distracted from the task at hand.

    The ad? I’ll give it a solid A-. It’s great for a GOP primary. I find myself spending time wondering whether or not the choice to have her just walking next to a man holding a gun was intentional in order to avoid consternation among GOP primary voters who don’t think it’s very lady like to be out there hunting with a shot gun, but absolutely would need a pistol for self defense.

    Even though it begs the question where exactly Representative Chris Miller is going with that gun, we don’t really need to answer it. We all know what kind of person Chris Miller is.

    If Rodney Davis loses to Mary Miller — this ad might have helped to it. There will be a lot of news about the gun legislation that’s working its way through congress right now, and there will not be a lot of people in the district who are going to care for the nuance. If Rodney Davis loses to Mary Miller, it says a lot about how much of a breeding ground for domestic terrorists we can expect the GOP to be for the next 10 to 15 years.

    If Rodney ran ads suggesting that Mary Miller was in favor of letting kids get gunned down at school it might even backfire in the district because dead kids cowering helplessly under desks is just the price our “free society” has to pay for its freedom.
