@ Big Dipper - You may be surprised to know Charlie Daniels are a pretty devout Republican. He probably would had sold the rights to that song (I wonder if Bailey paid for the rights?).
It is always kind of funny to see something like this from a candidate after a long campaign and lack of sleep. Someone on the campaign thought this would be funny…and Sen. Bailey evidently agreed.
The comments section below that tweet is an interesting read- about half are full Baileyheads, the other half are just there to laugh at his tone deafness. That video will cause tens of thousands of Chicago (AKA Heckhole) residents to switch their votes now, swinging the election to Bailey /s
As a moderate Republican this is what makes me cringe about eastern bloc. He’ll be lucky to get 42% of the vote tomorrow. Whichever campaign advisory thought this was a great idea should be fired immediately. I think he’s got the Southern Illinois vote locked. What a clown.
– Friends don’t subject friends to bad fake fiddle playing.
– Is that a threat?
– Was this paid for by ‘People who don’t play the fiddle by the rules”?
– Would it be a violation for Uline to pay for some fiddle lessons?

Just what we need, another governor who drops his “gs”
and play acts at being something he isn’t.
So a fiddle playing farmer and a ambulance chasing attorney with tattoos down both his arms. Is the best the Republican Party can put up against Governor Pritzker. I guess you get what you pay for.
If the goal is to appeal to white males over age 70 in Hardin County, then I’d consider it a success. He must have Cook County locked down pretty tight if he’s going after that demographic.
I was going for Pritzker, but now that I see that Bailey is channeling Charlie Daniels, maybe I should make him the top official of the state… after all, who cares about executive skills if you can pretend to play the fiddle?

If Charlie Daniels hadn’t already passed that would have finished him off.

If you can’t be honest to who you are, what you believe, when fun/funny thoughts to this come off tin eared and ridiculous to the caricature.
If anything, this video reinforces… even Bailey is confused who Bailey is… and what is and isn’t real.
Maybe it’s deeper than just a campaign?

@ Big Dipper - yes, the silliness is there. And Daniels would have shown him how to play the tune Trump’s way.

When you find out that there isn’t quite so much outrage as you thought about the other guy’s performance as governor…

Ok, umm, that was just weird. And pretty clear in about a second that he has no clue how to play that fiddle. Ouch.
And I bet most people took the closing line like I did, “There is more where this came from, friends”
Is that a threat?
Yikes. Maybe Pritzker can pay to put that on TV.
