We are told it is possible that the sun will make an appearance later today, so thanks for that. Not a bad January by Illinois standards overall, but it has been gray and gloomy for several days now. Enough is enough.
The sun made an appearance this morning while I was out at breakfast. But it was shy and quickly hid behind the clouds again.
Instead of working on Wordle this morning I was playing around with ChatGPT. I share the sentiment of the poster yesterday who said that a student would have to understand the question to make make an answer sound coherent. A real long term potential problem is its ability to imitate style. I was having fun having it write out invitations in the style of Lincoln, Churchill and Hemingway. It did, to me, a passable job. I saw the item about it on CBS Sunday Morning the other day where they said they were working on a watermark for it but that would be easy enough to get around for someone determined.
For those enjoyers of word games here in Illinois, Merriam-Webster has one called Blossom you should check out. Also, still missing my best friend in the whole world today.

Here in the 217, we may get snow, but maybe not. Snow totals could be an inch or six inches.
Any any event residents should rush to the store and buy bread and milk and prepare for mins. or hours without having roads clear of snow.

In my corner of Illinois Outcome Health goes on trail in a 1 Billion Fraud case.
Tribune does a great job on a page one story of explaining the case which involves some very well known local investors.
Trail may last 3 months. Case has been pending for years and, of course, the defendants have plead not guilty so it may take a bit of time for the case to run it’s course. Hopefully the Trib will keep covering the story.
Hat tip to the US Attorney’s office for working on what must be a complex case.

My daughter’s high school announced the 2023 class valedictorians yesterday and it’s an 11 way tie. Not bad for a senior class of 60. And yes, my daughter is one of the 11. And also yes, she gets it from her mother.

Cold up here in Geneva today. Hope to be back in Springfield before the fire wasted snow starts.
Politically, the mayor’s race ads seem to be all over the TV.

Blossom looks just like the NYT’s Spelling Bee.
