Thought of you all last night when I read about the world premiere of the musical Illinois, oddly happening in upstate New York. Then I kept obsessing about writing a lyric that rhymed Illinois and Michigan Canal with a clever line involving my Irish heritage. Vanilla Man would have figured it out. The article was on Pink News, so only safe if you’re in a nonhomophobic environment: https://tinyurl.com/5h9f3haa
Shameless plug:
For anyone interested in the effectiveness of fire sprinklers for the home, a live demonstration will occur this morning at 11:00am on Edwards St. by the Howlett building (between 1st and 2nd streets). The demo will set fire to two sides of a trailer - one with a sprinkler and one without - to experience the difference a sprinkler will make when a fire occurs.

One of those rare days today that stretches from the mid 20s to the mid 50s in a few hours. Feels good to see this much sun.
That Chicago mayor candidates public safety forum was quite the exercise in “I didn’t say those things that I am on record saying on multiple occasions.” What an insult to the intelligence of the electorate from both of them.
Trib has a story up about Northwestern Med lung transplants for lung cancer patients going further than the first experiments. this is great news for patients.

Chicago mayoral stuff: Glad I live outside the “State of Chicago”. Suburban politics and their impact are bad enough as they are. But the sun is shining today in the 60827, and I’m going out into that sunshine.

Yesterday, IL recieved its 8th credit upgrade and Michigan rolled back it’s RTW laws. Raunerism is in shambles.
