it’s good that Woodstock has the festival for Groundhog day because Punxsutawney is way in the middle of nowhere. Woodstock is not far from a major airport. Punx is even further in the hills than State College Pa.
Maybe the blog already covered this but I heard the PJ Star’s printing press is going to start printing the Indy Star and Columbus Dispatch. I think they already print the Milwaukee paper.
Trying to understand the logistics where this makes sense. I think the PJ Star’s press is probably newer than most but does this have to do with Illinois tax breaks for newsprint too?

It’s Groundhog’s Day in Woodstock, Illinois.
Any politician who isn’t there is really missing out.
Looks like winter will end on time.

RE: Grand National staying in Sparta through 2036.
Great news for Southern Illinois.
Also, remember when many were wringing their hands about losing it permanently when it was cancelled due to Covid and Missouri picked it up?
Another lesson in “sky is falling” mentality.

Kudos to the folks in Woodstock for 30 years of milking their association with the Groundhog Day movie.
