Absolutely and massive RIP to Chicago legend Bob Newhart.
I’m pushing forty, and I hate to say it but I’m afraid that my age cohort is probably among the youngest that really has a meaningfully large appreciation for Newhart’s comedy. I hope I’m wrong and Bob has an amazing legacy that lives on to future generations of fans of comedy, but I sadly don’t think that people under say 35 or 30 really have come across or appreciated his brand very much.
Isabel & Rich - Curious to hear your thoughts regarding the Dan Seals departure from Intersect Illinois. Seams like a surprising move after all the momentum they’ve established.
Cool sunny morning. Perfect day for Friday golf. As kid I remember of Bob Newhart albums with routines playing all the time at home. Some bits became almost memorized. Much different—and pleasant— times
Ditto on the great Bob Newhart. Seemingly, every Chicago Irish or German Catholic of my parent’s generation claimed some sort of personal connection to him, usually through his West Side parish, St. Ignatius, or Loyola.
