The always delightful Sierra Ferrell! Was at the Davenport Ia show that was interrupted by a fire alarm that resulted in an acoustic set on the street. Great memory.
The end of DST in the fall is way more disruptive of sleep and so on than the start of it. (When I was younger, the opposite was true.)
In fact, if we didn’t have a couple clocks left that require resetting, and if I weren’t such an early riser, I wonder if I’d notice the spring time change at all.
I feel like I am in a time warp. Switched jobs recently and trying to create a new account on ilga.gov … I have been waiting almost 2 hours on my “confirmation code” and yes I checked my spam box.
This is an older clip of Sierra Ferrell, with Josie Toney on fiddle, a terrific talent too. Josh Rilko on mandolin has been with her for years and is a key part of her acoustic sound.

“How’s the time change treating you?“
I fell asleep at 8 AM mass. I’d be content making daylight savings permanent, or eliminating it all together. Either way is fine.

The start of DST is always a joy. I love having enough daylight after the workday to come home and get something done outdoors.

Love Sierra, saw her last summer at her Lollapalooza aftershow at the Metro and was transfixed.
Btw you’re always posting music gems, what are the odds we get a playlist curated of your picks to date?

My body did not want to get up this morning. It kept yelling at me that it was entitled to another hour of sleep. It didn’t get it.

Big Sierra fan here. It’s been a treat watching her growing success. She was on SNL with Mumford & Sons a couple of weeks ago.
Here she is playing the same song a few years back before she got glammed up.
