I wish I knew what St. Ignatius was doing at the end of the game last night. They seemed disorganized. At any rate, great season by Iggy and congrats to York and the other semi finalists. There have been some fantastic games, very exciting.

Peoblem with State fair start date has been discussed on here in the past. This is one of those years. Starts Aug 13-23, seems a week late to me. Also, it overlaps with Iowa again. My favorite Steak and Fixins will probabbly be in Des Moines again ! This is one of those examples of Governmanet inaction lol !
My daughter was born during the fair on August 12. My dad’s birthday is a day earlier. For many years, we would have family outings at the fair to celebrate those birthdays.
I’m assuming (yeah, I know what you are if you assume) that part of the reason is that Labor Day is later this year (September 7). DuQuoin always ends on that day. They try to have the State Fair and DuQuoin fair close to each other.

Minnie Riperton was so alive…I remember her untimely death…She was a voice gifted angel.
