Yay! My husband and I were there for opening day at Busch Stadium last year. What a great time. I checked the St. Louis weather for this afternoon when I had lunch. Looks great. We had a rain delay and it was cool last year. Didn’t dampen our spirits, though. Go Cards!
Probably will be the third consecutive year of no visits to Busch Stadium. This team says all winter they need a right handed bat with some pop who can play outfield. Nelson Velasquez hits .364 with 1.2 OSP this spring and is left off the roster in favor of Saggesse and Fermin, both super light hitting infielders, well that’s not a product I’ll pay to see in person.
It’s no coincidence that the White Sox got off to a great start in 2005 and ran the table to win the WS. Normally, the Sox are terrible at the start of the season. Our priority should be to turn that around.

More excited for the Illini tonight. 75 wins would be great for the Sox. Cubs-Dodgers is my prediction for NLCS (Dodgers in 7)

It would be nice if Pale Hose pitchers would stop walking people already.

I call Wrigley Field the town’s biggest bar; my wife was on the train heading up from Springfield, and they were already doing Jell-O shots before 7am

I’ve been to one opening day. It was cold, crowded and disorganized. Not for me.
As far as the season goes, I’m cautiously pessimistic. Lol
